Having enjoyed working for other companies within the motor trade for 10 years, Patrick Lockton decided to pursue his passion by setting up his own business. Patrick grew up in Wellington and achieved his apprenticeship with a local Rover/Seat main dealer, gaining his NVQ qualifications in paint spraying, panel beating and welding.
At Precision Paint we are passionate about cars. Over the years, our high-quality work and attention to detail has earned us a great reputation. We have built a loyal customer base of prestige and supercar owners, which continues to grow.

We pride ourselves in the quality of our car body repairs. When you send your car to us for its accident repair, whether that is a dent, scratch or new panel, you can be assured that we use only high-quality materials. Based in Wellington, Somerset, we are an independent body shop, but have been 'insurance approved' for accident repair work.
This new complete design Aston GT3 is worth 350,000, so a simulator is needed for driver development and training purposes prior to driving the real deal!. The shell of the complete car was provided to the Precision Paint team who were then tasked with fabricating it into the shell of a simulator for Base performance.
This Audi RS4 has been in for some light damage repair and also some customisation. With the damage being repaired, the front grills and splitter have been painted gloss black. The brake calipers have also been refurbished in a bright gloss yellow (by us) and the wheels refurbished in gloss black (out of house).

I have used Patrick and his team to carry out paint repairs , i can not fault the quality of their work , he may be even fussier than me with with his finished result.
Yes he is always busy , a sign of a respected and trusted repairer, i would rather wait in the queue than go elsewhere and get poor quality repairs.

I had a small amount of damage on front bumper of my matte finished pride and joy. The amount of research, technology and time taken by Patrick, to get this perfect, in both colour and finish was really, really impressive. Patrick at precision is excellent, by far the best paint shop in the area. I had some damage that a smart repair did a shocking repair on. Then took to MR TLC just up from Patrick and whilst better the paint finish was still poor (dust under paint, orange peel etc). Took to Patrick and his work is first class. His attention to detail is brilliant and for bumpers takes panel off etc and only £50 more than the smart repair up the road that dont take the panel off or have a proper sealed booth. No comparison between the 2 in terms of finish of paint afterwards - top class work at a reasonable price

After struggling to find someone who was capable and willing to spray a difficult paint job on our Mustang that was damaged in a car park it was great to find Patrick. What an amazing job he has done and his attention to detail is very rare these days.

First class body shop. Recently took in my GT86 to have a spoiler removed, exposed holes welded and the boot painted. I’m very protective over my car and I was delighted at the care Patrick and his team took over the job. The finish itself was perfect, you’d think it had come straight from the factory, no sign of the holes or the repaint. If you’re an enthusiast and want your car worked on by experts who will take care of your car like its their own this is the place.
