We employ skilled bakers who use traditional methods to handmake all of our bread, cakes and bakes. The famous Bakewell Pudding has been made in Bakewell since the 1800s. Our skilled bakers still create our Great Taste award-winning Bakewell Puddings by hand using the only verified original recipe. Our pasties, scones, tea cakes, sweet bread, gluten free treats and other pastries are baked to golden perfection. Just sink your teeth in and savour the flavour.

We are delighted to be suppliers of handmade Derbyshire Oatcakes and Pikelets from The Derbyshire Oatcake & Pikelet Co. For many the word 'oatcake' conjures an image of the dry, savoury Scottish biscuit, but our historic Derbyshire version is a much different creation.
With historical mentions dating as far back as the 1600s, this simple yet delicious type of pancake is made from a fermented mixture of oatmeal, wheat flour and yeast that is cooked in a dry pan.Pikelets, on the other hand, are made from flour, yeast, milk and salt and resemble a flattened crumpet.

The Bakewell tart pastry is very very salty so much so we couldn’t eat them, we bought two from chatsworth farm shop a couple of weeks ago and phoned the farm shop to complain but they weren’t interested so we phoned and emailed the bakewell bakery again they didn’t seem to bothered and have not replied to our email !! I didn’t want a refund I just wanted to inform them that there must have been a mistake in their production, very poor customer service, Not Happy
