Solid wood flooring is a good choice for your home for many reasons, not least because of its attractive appearance. If you decide to purchase solid wood flooring from Hertford Flooring you will receive a beautiful craftsmen produced product that will stand the test of time. As the name suggests, solid wood flooring is exactly that - planks of solid wood laid next to one another.
Thanks to its rigidity and resistance to the atmosphere, engineered hardwood floors are ideal in places where solid wood is not a viable option. This is due to the resilient middle and bottom layers that are made of poplar wood or birch. Environments ideal for engineered board include conservatories, that absorb large amounts of heat and need flooring that will not expand, or even cellars, where wood is laid on top of concrete.
Laminate flooring is an excellent value floor covering which is perfect for high traffic and family areas. We are quite happy to supply and fit as well as just supply if you are looking at fitting yourself. Protected by a tough external layer and resin coating, a laminate floor is strong, and scratch-resistant, impact-resistant and longer lasting than any vinyl or carpet.

Very happy with the service we received from everyone at this company. Having looked at a lot of flooring in some of the big stores we found that Hertford Flooring had a much bigger range. We were able to borrow samples immediately so that we could find exactly what would fit in our house. Having made our choice the whole process from quote to installation was easy. The fitters were punctual and very good at their job, and we are really pleased with our new floors.

Fantastic range. Very friendly and helpful. Very patient as we had difficulty in choosing what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Arrived on time, fitters very experienced and corteous. We had oak flooring and stair and hallway carpet fitted. Would totally recommend Hertford flooring. We also had personal recommendations from neighbours. I have been using Hertford flooring for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. This time They’ve just fitted a new stair carpet. The quality of the workmanship is superb and they are very quick in responding to orders requests and queries. The fitters arrive on time work effectively and are always very courteous. We had a carpet fitted last week. We needed the carpet to look perfect because the final result will be in magazines and newspapers. Alternative Flooring (our carpet supllier) recommended using Hertford flooring. Neil contacted me and gave a quote and Stuart fitted the carpet. He went out of his way to make sure that the pattern of the carpet ran in my preferred direction and even navigated the tricky step into the room offering good advice that would lead to a better aesthetic. Really professional and pleasant to deal with. too. 5 stars from me!

Fantastic service from Hertford Flooring. Neil came and measured our stairs for our new runner promptly and the Roger Oates runner was laid by an expert fitter who only fitted that make of carpet. The whole experience was extremely professional from start to finish. We have used them before to lay an oak floor in our lounge prior to this and cannot fault the service we received. We would definitely recommend them.
