One of the main fundamental principles of Osteopathy is that "The body has the ability to heal itself" and the Osteopath is the facilitator in that process. Osteopathic treatment can greatly help with the recovery of ligament damage, by working with the surrounding structures of the lower body. Osteopathy can be extremely helpful improving muscle tone, encouraging suppleness of the body and keeping fit.

My interest in Osteopathy began in my late teens, exhausted by the level of commitment and physical exertion of high intensity impact sports, I suffered greatly with musculo skeletal ailments, most notably lower back pain. I underwent osteopathic treatment and quickly learnt of its great advantages over alternative treatments.
As osteopaths, we take a very sensible approach to any condition, checking the patient to rule out any untoward factors. We look to combine a regimen of special tests, examination, mechanical treatment and exercise to eliminate symptoms, improve posture and reduce the risk of any symptom reoccuring.
Having trouble with your back does not always express pain in the back. In many cases it may cause symptoms in more remote areas such as the buttocks, hips or legs (symptoms of sciatica). Problems in the spine and neck may also produce symptoms such as headaches, dizziness and pins and needles to name a few.
To this day shoulder and neck symptoms are deeply expressed and reflected in our society. This is shown nationwide and in all countries worldwide. Laptops and computers have become an absolute necessity within any given household and will inevitably invite poor posture from the neck down. The average worker has become predominantly sedentary and pressurised by performance targets.
There are four main knee ligaments that are vulnerable and common to injure, two groups of ligaments that surround the knee - The collateral Ligaments and the Cruciate Ligaments. Osteopathic treatment can greatly help with the recovery of ligament damage, by working with the surrounding structures such as the low back, hip and pelvis, the leg, knee and the foot and ankle.

Highly recommend going, I went due to some past injuries causing a lot of restrictions and headaches and Shane took the time to really get to know me and the history that lead me to this. After just one session the amount of tension in my neck and shoulder was reduced to a bare minium and had almost full movement back in my arms and neck. Great value for money and will be going back in the next month or so.
