Established in 1985 by the Principal, Annette FitzGerald, The Florian School of Dance is one of the most successful and well respected schools in the area. Annette and her fully qualified team provide a high level of teaching whilst keeping classes fun. The school offers a wide variety of classes which are either exam focused or attended just for pleasure.
Ballet classes for 3 year olds up to any age, RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern & Tap, Jazz and Contemporary dance. We love what we do and we aim to inspire others to work hard and reach their full potential. School shows happen every 3 years and are considered to be extremely professional on every level. The Florian Summer Dance School is one of the happiest events on the school calendar.

All our teachers hold current Enhanced DBS checks and first aid qualifications. The Florian School of Dance has recently been award the C.D.E.T. (Council of Dance Education & Training) Recognised School Award. Benesh Notation Teaching Certificate. Council of Dance Education & Training (C.D.E.T) Recognised Teacher.
Dear Miss FitzGerald, I just wanted to thank you and your team for the Summer Dance School last week. Joanie and Tess had the time of their lives and loved every moment. When I picked Tess up after the first day, the first thing she said to me was, 'Can we do it again next year?' And this is a girl who is often nervous to try new things!
Younger students generally attend one weekly ballet class with several extra coaching classes leading up to an examination. Great care is given to bringing out the best in all students whether or not they choose to participate in examinations. We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabi for modern and tap dance.
In all our classes we aim to offer the highest quality of teaching and training. The majority of our students choose to take examinations in their chosen genre. However, some prefer to attend classes just for fun and without the pressure of working towards an exam. Either way every student is valued.
