Our stunning tree-lined, 3 acre natural lake is perfect for days and nights of coarse and carp fishing. With Wild, Mirror and Common Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Pike and Perch all present in good numbers, our lake is not open to the general public, and with no closed season*, it really does make for a great fishing holiday or weekend break in the heart of Somerset.

We got to the resort and the check in staff were friendly and helpful. The caravan was spacious and well equipped with some basic crockery, pots and pans and some basic citizen electrical..
A nice fire in the lounge and reasonable size bedrooms.
Ni major issues with the van - no plug sockets in lounge to charge phones and the oven was a little difficult to use.
The only real complaint we have is that staff insist you use a mobile app that doesn't work. When you load it, the app gets stuck on a welcome page and goes no further. Also the boathouse menus state food is served daily up to 9pm (10pm

Absolutely fantastic stay. We started our holiday very badly this Monday with a nights stay at Pontins and was extremely disappointed, very dirty and horrible management. We found Lakeside the next morning with a caravan vacancy available. We couldnt have asked better for money. Everyone was very helpful and polite, asking if we needed anything a few times a day. The clubhouse was quiet but friendly. Our caravan was spotless on arrival, and was such a huge relief after the Pontins fiasco. Seriously, pay the extra £100 it cost us and stay here, you won't be disappointed. We WILL be returning here

Had a van booked for 4 days and had a great time, the van was what we expected, nice and clean bedding was provided at an additional cost of I think £8 and this was given to me when I received the key. All beds had pee covers or some sort of stain cover which actually made me sweat and I didn't have a decent sleep at all until I slept on top on another duvet under a personal sheet. Lake looks good but I didn't have time hopefully next time.

Sadly we had to cancel our forthcoming September holiday due to a family issue, I can only say the lady I spoke to was absolutely amazing, couldn’t have been more understanding and very helpful , a very rare quality In this day and age , please pass on our thanks it was on Saturday morning around 11 and we had a laugh over my partner’s email ( I’m sure she will remember) we have stayed with you many times over the years and have always enjoyed our stays, so looking forward to our 2022 holiday. Caravan was nice but not cleaned properly, dirty and broken glasses, broken toilet seat and shower flooded. Entertainment was disgraceful, they had stopped children's entertainment altogether which was thoroughly disappointing on a family holiday. The entertainment they did have was a joke and repetitive. Definitely not worth it. Considering there are 100 or so caravans the kids park and amusements is small and does not cater to bigger children. We ended up finding a local lake with a good park.

We had a great holiday but made it great ourselves as there was nothing on this site worth doing! No kids entertainment, No pool, amusements were seriously outdated and the food was just basic so much more could be done with this site to make it more child friendly.
As for the accommodation the main bedroom stunk of urine which forced us to sleep in the living room area, the grill on the cooker didn't work properly the freezer door was broken I'm not one to complain or leave reviews but if you have children avoid at all costs unless they like playing bingo every night.
