Chandlers Cross Kennels is a small, friendly, family run business with over 60 years experience in looking after dogs. Services
Shampoo: We can shampoo your dog for you so he/she comes home smelling of roses. Just let us know when you drop them off and we will aim to do it as close as possible to your checkout day. The cost is 15 per dog. The shampooing fee goes directly to the person who baths your dog. Shampoo, Clip and Nail Trim: We have a long standing arrangement with an excellent dog groomer.
You are most welcome to come and view our kennels before making your booking with us. In fact, I would highly recommend that you ALWAYS go and have a look around, whichever kennel you may be considering before making your booking. Our opening times for drop off, pick up and for visiting are 8:30-10am and 4:30-6pm, 7 days per week.
On any visit to us, you MUST bring your dog's vaccination record card with you which must be up to date. This is a requirement of our kennelling licence. It is also a licensing requirement that you fill out a consent form. We cannot accept your dog without these. We have plenty of plastic beds and lots of soft blankets that are washed on a regular basis but you are more than welcome to bring anything that helps to make your dog feel more settled.
Your dog must be up to date with their vaccinations before they come to stay with us and you must bring their vaccination record card with you when you bring your dog to us - terms of our kennel licence are that we must record that we have seen sight of it. If you cannot find your vaccination record card, most vets are happy to provide you with a copy free of charge.
If your dog requires regular medication, vitamin supplements, joint care capules, creams or potions, just let us know when you bring your dog to us. You will need to bring their medication/supplements with you and leave your instructions with us. We are able to cater for a wide variety of tastes, from dried food to canned food and biscuit.

A really friendly and lovely Boarding Kennels run by Mark and his lovely staff.
It's not huge but our Evie (Jack Russell aged 4 and a half) loves it. She is well looked after and they charge very reasonable rates.
It is situated off Langleybury Lane or Grove Mill Lane, near The Grove off the Hempstead Road right in the heart of the countryside. It is next door The Equestrian Centre but the sat nav takes you right there.
I would definitely recommend it.

I left Coco at Chandlers Cross as I could not cope anymore with a puppy who was very boisterous, getting overweight (the vet told me off the day before dropping Coco at Chandlers Cross), and dragging me around the lead in London.
After 12 days, I collected her and she is a changed dog, for the better.
She is much calmer, no longer pulls and has lost weight. She is now less boisterous around dogs, and no longer drags me by the lead.
I can only assume that being surrounded by other dogs has helped learning her place 'amongst the pack'.
The lady at the kennel is very efficient, the kennels are

Dear Mark
A huge thank you for boarding our lively 1 year old lab over the bank holiday week-end! We were so impressed with the time you took to explain how the kennels operated and with Lauren's patience and kindness with Poppy. She clearly had an amazing time and if she could talk, I know she would echo our thanks with gusto.
Hopefully, she will calm down a little before her next visit!
Kind regards
Lesley and George
