I wish when I was a youngster that the opticians my parents took me to were half as good as this one. My little boy was referred to the hospital after some abnormalities with his school eye test. The hospital referral naturally was going to take a while so the hospital recommend Tombs and Allen in the mean time. Considering he needed eyes drops and all sorts of unusual contraptions (that a 5 year old may find intimidating) Brodie the optician was better than outstanding. She made him feel so comfortable and her natural calm and bubbly nature I could tell really put my usually nervous boy at ease

Impressed. First visit yesterday, based on a friend's recommendation. Have always used "high street" opticians before for my annual eye test. The eye test was very thorough and I was pleasantly surprised to be told I didn't need a new pair of specs because my current ones are o.k. No "hard sell" here to buy a new pair. Previous high street opticians always told me I needed a new pair when I wasn't convinced there was always a necessity. I have no hesitation in recommending this independent optician practice.
