At Praills Opticians you will always receive professional advice on your vision and on choosing the best products for your needs, appearance and lifestyle. You will always be examined by a qualified optical practitioner, while your spectacles or contact lenses will be provided by fully trained dispensing staff.
The SPECTRALIS 4D HD Eye Health Check is much more than your standard sight test. It employs the use of a high-tech eye scanner to scan your eyes and look for very early signs of retinal disease. This technology is used on board the International Space Station to check the health of astronauts' eyes and now you can have your eye health checked in exactly the same way here on planet Earth, as we have invested in this same eye scanner.
Without good eyesight it is difficult to take part in most everyday activities, such as reading, driving and watching TV. Poor vision may also indicate the presence of a potentially serious eye disease, like glaucoma and macular degeneration, or general health problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
Our practice offers NHS and private eye examinations; providing you with choice and the necessary support. Many people are now entitled to free sight tests under the NHS and they may also qualify for help with the cost of their glasses. Eyeplan is a managed eye care scheme available through independent opticians like us at Praills. For a small monthly payment, Eyeplan members are entitled to a wide range of benefits. Any new pair of spectacles bought through one of our Eyeplan schemes is protected against Accidental Damage if you need it.
