Holly Lodge is a traditional brick built home which has been entirely rebuilt and renovated to the very highest of standards to provide an exclusive bed and breakfast establishment in the heart of Alnwick. A world away from the usual and run-of-the-mill B&Bs - Holly Lodge has from the outset, been a project with higher aspirations than the normal.
We have 5 individual bedrooms available for guests, 3 of which feature deluxe King sized beds. You are assured of a great nights sleep in the heart of Alnwick beneath luxurious duck-down duvets on crisp Egyptian cotton sheets. Every room is decorated to a very high standard with contemporary colour schemes and furnishings.
The town is dominated by the magnificent Alnwick Castle, often referred to as "The Windsor of the North" it is the ancestral home of the Duke of Northumberland and is still a habited home. The castle is open to visitors and is today probably most famous as being the location of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies!
Including a series of small art galleries, one of the largest second hand bookshops in Britain in Barter Books, the world famous Alnwick Garden with it's unique water features, the Poison Garden and Europe's largest Tree House - which also happens to be a fantastic restaurant! Day trips within easy traveling distance worthy of a mention include a visit to the National Trust property of Cragside House and gardens.
