Celtic Art Industries originated in Glasgow in 1945 and started producing work inspired by the Celtic designs of Alexander Ritchie and set out to revive the art of the Scottish silversmith. Celtic Art Industries employed several silversmiths who went on to become well known in their own right; Iain MacCormick, Malachy Gormley and John Hart.
Over the subsequent years Celtic Art underwent many changes including relocating to the 'New Town' of East Kilbride and becoming Celtic Art Ltd as we are known today. Andy Hynd who trained at Celtic Art Industries under Malachy Gormley in 1964 took over the company in 1974 and ran it until his retirement in 2009.

Having used Celtic art before to resize a ring, knew it was the right place to go for a hand made claddagh ring. Wanted something just a little bit different, and Philip was able to provide something special. From design to final product, he was able to produce something one off and special. and a ring my wife loves dearly. So happy with the final product, and can't recommend this company enough. Fantastic workmanship.10/10.

Wanted a silver kilt pin for an anniversary present for my husband. Phil and the team
were amazing when I called, explaining I needed it early as my husband had surprised me with a trip
