Services
Alan P Fulton is a fine jewellery house specialising in handcrafted jewellery with uncompromising design and attention to detail. All of our jewellery is handmade on site in our boutique studio, situated in the centre of the conservation village of Eaglesham, Scotland where we take great pride in the use of time honoured traditional methods in the creation of our bespoke jewellery.
The main purpose of including this section within our website is to highlight how Alan's approach to creating, in particular rings, differs from the vast majority of jewellers and his reasons for, and the benefits of, doing so.
In general the vast majority of large and small manufacturers and independent jewellery workshops do, and will create all gem rings from cast mounts, whether by the assembly of separate cast shanks and cast settings or indeed, increasingly, one piece castings.Although the assembly of cast shanks and settings, the setting of stones and the final polishing is done by hand this process is in the industry termed as hand finished.

With immense sentimentality or meaningful attachment to the items, retaining or preserving this emotional connection is extremely important. To this end Alan approaches each commission with great sensitivity and compassion.

Here at Alan P. Fulton Artisan & Goldsmith we have in stock and on approval, from one of my diamond dealers, a number of coloured diamonds. Many people are not aware that natural diamonds are found in many colours of differing tones and shades and not just as the very much more commonly occurring white diamonds.

We purchased our wedding rings from Alan and his lovely wife after meeting them at a wedding show at the SCC. Since then we have recommended their service to friends and family and have heard nothing but good reports.

Great experience dealing with Alan, it's a personalised experience with just no one else around. He went through a few designs with me, I was really not sure what I was looking for, until we found what was right for me. I got to select the exact stones for my ring. He even took the time out to resize my engagement ring, which I'm so grateful for too.
The ring he made for me is beautiful, and I can't stop looking at it. Well worth waiting for. I'd recommend Alan to anyone looking for something custom, or if you wanted to repurpose other rings, etc. A true craftsman.

My partner purchased my engagement ring from Alan in 2019, I absolutely loved it and fell in love with it instantly. Totally Blown Away!!! Alan previously designed and created my wedding ring & perfected my engagement ring to suit.... this was 15years ago. Alan couldn't have been more helpful. I brought him a stone I had picked up in Africa 20 years ago with a rough idea of a design which Alan helped to perfect. He initially quoted February delivery but had it ready nearly a month earlier to coincide with the day I wanted it. You couldn't ask for better service.

Alan’s workmanship is exquisite. My husbands design ideas for my engagement ring were brought to life by Alan and he went on to ensure my ideas for a wedding ring to fit alongside it were realised. Alan is always happy to listen to your ideas and provide advice in relation to design, materials and budget. My rings are beautiful and I receive… compliments on them all the time especially because they are quite unusual.
