Your vehicle is a complex piece of machinery and to maximise its efficiency and performance, it requires regular servicing. This is a factor often overlooked and unappreciated, but the reality is: failure to service your vehicle will decrease its lifespan and value and increase the likelihood of breakdowns.
General repairs range from the replacement of wing mirrors and brake pads to specific engine works. Failure to have faults reviewed and repaired can often lead to much bigger issues and could cause your vehicle to become unroadworthy, and in extreme cases illegal to drive. General repairs are often inexpensive, especially when compared to the cost of repair for major faults that can occur when general repairs are not dealt with in good time.
An MOT is a thorough annual examination of your vehicle. They are required when your vehicle is three years old or older. The main things that are covered by the MOT are safety of your vehicle and the level of emissions in the exhaust. The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) is responsible for 'licensing' both the MOT test station and the MOT tester.
These are given free to all eligible customers who have their vehicle serviced at an RAC Approved Garage. This is a great offer to look after existing customer. The plan protects customers from the unexpected cost of repairs in the event their vehicle fails its next legally due MOT, to the value of 750.

My van needed an MOT. I thought while being done would benefit from a clutch and a service.
This garage fitted the clutch serviced my van then failed it on the MOT. Surely you'd MOT it before doing work that costs nearly a grand!!!!
Hit me with a bill for £980.......
They then rang and said we can't weld so you'll have to get it repaired some where else. But you need to pay the £980 to get the van back....
So after spending £980 my van still isnt MOT'd....
I then had to move van without it being MOT'd / taxed / insured at further expense to a garage that could do the welding repairs.

Following a weekend away we broke down on the A55 and Queensferry MOT testing center came to our rescue. They fixed the car when they said they would having the clutch and fly wheel replaced by mid day the next day, having only arrived on their doorstep at 4.30pm. The garage couldn't do enough to help as eager to see us back on the road as we were. They were swift, professional and competitively priced. We would definitely recommend this garage to anyone.

Over the years I have always used this garage for all mechanical maintenance of every car that I have owned. So much so that I always recommend to family and friends. Today I left this Garage really happy with all the work done on my Mitsibushi Outlander. They were very friendly, explaining what needed to be done and the cost involved. They were very helpful and I felt reassured that I was leaving my car in good hands. I have been using this Garage for a number of years for all my MOT's and also for every and any mechanical engine work, so I thought it about time I put a review to Thank these people for always being most professional, helpful and accommodating. What has really surprised and shocked me were the most derogatory reviews of 1 star along with their comments. Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but their experiences seem so far removed from the actual reality of the Quality, Brilliant Service and extremely competitive prices. Highly recommended by the RAC. When my car was towed to Queensferry after an accident, I was lucky enough to be taken here. Mike and the other mechanics went to a lot of trouble; liaising with my insurance company to save my Ford from being written off, doing a first-rate job on extensive repairs, managing to keep it all within my budget and even offering payment assist at no extra cost.
