R Thomson Carpentry
Hi, my name is Roy Thomson, thanks for visiting my website. I have been working in the Carpentry and Joinery trade for the last five years and before then I worked in the Bespoke Furniture Manufacturers for several years. I have project managed quite a number of jobs from supplying and fitting of 15 internal doors to replacing 85 double glazed units on a bungalow.

Some of my recent jobs include stud walling, boxing pipes, electricity boxes, replacement windows and external doors. I am based in Telford, but cover all of Shropshire and part of mid Wales, from Oswestry all the way to Bridgnorth. I work around you at your convenience to cause minimum disruption to you or your business.
Services
I just wanted to say Thank You for repairing the en-suite bathroom window. We really appreciate the time you gave up on Monday to come and assess the problem and also coming on Friday to do the repair. I am sure we will need your services once again in the near future and will not hesitate to get in touch.
These are a small selection of some of the doors I've made, supplied and fitted, from internal and external doors in people's private residence to fire doors in local businesses. All doors are sourced from local businesses or can be made to measure at one of the local joinery shops, alternatively you can provide the doors yourself.
An attractive feature in any garden allowing you to make the most of your outside space. Here are two examples of recent work, one in market drayton I installed around a conservatory and the other one was installed outside a set of french doors with spindles, hand rail, newel posts and a gate all the timber used was treated against rot.
As an example of fencing projects that I've under taken here are two recently completed. This is fencing in of a refuse area at a local school. This work had to be done after school hours or at half term so as not to disturb the pupils. And this is an example of work done at a private residence at the customers request to make her existing fence line a little more private.
I only use local joinery shops because that way I believe I can speak to people face to face and where bespoke joinery is being ordered fine adjustments can be made to suit the customers requirements. Just about anything can be made to suit your requirements, whether its a garden bench or an arched set of french doors.

Fitted a large unit in an awkward spot in my kitchen. Other work needed completing first to remedy other problems and he sorted all of these. He managed the other trades required to complete the fit and finished on time. Very pleased.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!,left his apprentice to fit pelmet in my kitchen,he made a right mess of it,i complained so he came back next day left him to put it right while he was out quoting on jobs, after the first time there wasnt enough pelmet left to finish the job, instead of going to buy me a new piece like he said he would do,he just bodged it and glued an offcut in the corner,it was bent in other places and loose in one corner, ive had to take it all off,and ive done a better job of it myself,my shed door had to be adjusted as it was binding(schoolboy error),and failed to seall the inside of my front
