Robert Steele started working as an apprentice at a local Builder/Undertaker in 1968 and attended Shrewsbury Technical College and achieved his City and Guild in Carpentry & Joinery and Advanced craft. Robert continued working as a Carpenter and Joiner with local builders. In 1984 Robert and decided the time was right to become self employed.
With his keen interest and love for his work, orders came flooding in, everything from small windows to large oak bars for a local publican and much more. With his interest in history and old buildings he developed his work towards repairs to listed and timber frame buildings having worked a few years for the National Trust and English Nature and for private clients.

We are a small family run business specialising in repairs and maintenance of traditional half timbered and historic buildings, both commercial and domestic. We also undertake purpose made joinery from small to large projects as well as sash window repairs. Stephen gave a full days talk and demonstation about repairs to sash windows and timber purchases to a selected audiance of Architects, Conservations Officers and other interested clients.
