Services
SHS Freight services was founded in 1923 as Direct Motor Services (Sheffield) Limited, and for three decades the enterprise developed as a transport agency, undertaking haulage work for companies operating in many sectors of industry and commerce. During the fifties, however, the company chose to diversify into warehousing and accordingly built two warehouses in Sheffield.
We have a range of forklift trucks from 3 tonne to 30 tonne lifting capacity. We can load a variety of material including Wire Rod in Coil/Bars/Billets & Slabs with the aid of a lifting boom. We also offer a sorting, bagging & weighing facility for loose cargo's by way of a Hopper & Scales. We have forklift trucks with up to 5 tons lifting capacity and are available for the handling of stocks.
