Newell & Wright Group
Bulk Cargo Handling, Heavy Lift & Container Loading/Unloading NWT Freight Forwarding Limited is widely recognised as THE bulk cargo handling, heavy lift and container loading/unloading specialists in the region. Alternatively you can use our online form to register your enquiry. In 1974, Frank Newell and Paul Wright formed Newell & Wright Transport.

In those early days, we were a very small general haulage company, operating from rented premises. Over the following years we have grown substantially in size, resulting in the company changing premises three times before moving to the current 6.5 acre freehold site at Tinsley, Sheffield in 1987. The same year NWT Freight Forwarding was formed enabling us to offer our customers a variety of other freight solutions.
Services
Due to recent expansion Newell & Wright have several vacancies for HGV1 Class 1 drivers based in the Sheffield region to operate from our central location. We employ over 300 personnel, many of whom have remained with the company as we have expanded. We can attribute our growth and success to delighting our customers, old and new, with the value for money and excellent all round services that we provide.
Alternatively you can use our online form to register your enquiry. Newell & Wright group Limited has built its reputation and business upon a personal and friendly service. A major investment has been implemented at our Sheffield location which now offers a complete VOSA HGV & PSV test lane with a certified test lane for trucks, trailers and ancillary vehicles. The VOSA HGV & PSV test lane is open to businesses both locally and nationally and will also service our own fleet of over 100 HGV1 trucks and also MOT vehicles from within our group.
A major investment has been implemented at our Sheffield location which now offers a complete Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) system for trucks, trailers and ancillary vehicles. For Heavy Goods Vehicles historically there has been no approval in the UK. All vehicles need to be approved to make sure they meet certain safety and environmental standards.
Having served the region for over 35 years, Newell & Wright Transport are South Yorkshire's largest privately owned and most successful haulage contractors. Spanning the Sheffield and Rotherham boundary on a 6.5 acre site in Templeborough, our familiar blue and white liveried trucks are seen on motorways up and down the country.

Absolutely shocked and disgusted by one if your drivers ALat 6.20pm tonight. NWT truck with a MAERSK container. I joined J35 south on the M1 at 60mph. He caught up with me, got with in a cars length and then shot out without indication.
In got to 65 and he was still pulling away! He then slowed to exit at 34. He must have been doing at least 70mph.
Clearly driving without a tacho in an unlimited truck. A great way to represent the company. Just a shame I couldn't see his reg or it would have been an email to VOSA.
Sort out your staff before they kill someone!
