We're sure you'll enjoy the challenge of playing our beautiful woodland course. First established more than a century ago, it has become a renowned venue on the local and national playing circuit. Built on free draining sand we pride ourselves on being open all year round except for 'exceptional' weather conditions.
It is important to have a good drive on this hole to generate real birdie chances. Your drive must clear a ditch that runs across the full width of the fairway. The tee itself is tree lined on both sides. Any wayward tee shot is liable to be caught by either our new irrigation reservoir, or out of bounds on the other side of the fairway.
The range is almost three hundred yards in length with a number of targets to aim at. Balls are available by purchasing tokens at the pro shop and using the automated ball dispenser adjacent to the range. We have an additional long practice area adjacent to the 3rd tee. In front of the clubhouse, there is a putting green, which can also be used for short low chips on to the green.
It is a welcoming club whose members come from all walks of life. Be you a novice, a beginner, an improver or an experienced golfer, applications for membership are welcomed from all. Membership of a golf club offers more than just playing golf, it gives you the opportunity to make friends and be a part of the wider aspects of social life at the Club.
If you would like to join please call 01652 680291 and ask for our club manager or drop in and see us. We are more than happy to arrange a VIP tour around our clubhouse with you or even arrange for you to play the course if you are not familiar with Elsham. There are a number of easy payment schemes run by the Club without interest charges or administration fees.

In the last 2 weeks I have held 2 events at Elsham Golf Club, my sons christening and my 30th birthday party. Both have run very smoothly, the food has been delicious, and Lesley has been amazing at making sure… everything was as exactly as I wanted it. The bar staff were lovely and I am really pleased and will definitely look to hold more events in the future.

As we emerge from the COVID19 nightmare it is clear that the greens staff and course management team have been very much focused on improving the golfing experience at Elsham. The course is in fantastic condition, the greens are slick and fairways true, arguably the best course in the area.
The bar and restaurant area is beginning to get back to normal so can be a little slow at times but it is worth it for the time on the course.

Played in a competition for 14 to 28 handicap players, course is brutal not set up for this level of play, only 1 player beating handicap, 20 plus players scoring over 100, 8 unable to finish with a score. Club seems to want to set course up for lower handicap play only. Lots of time spent looking for balls in punishing rough, mostly due to blind tee shots unable to see where a ball has gone. The 5th hole had 3 teams looking for balls after being called through. Not an enjoyable experience.
