Bang In Wells
So called as our cafe and bar is located right in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Bang in the heart of the historic fishing port of Wells-next-the-Sea up on the North Norfolk coast - a refreshingly fun and friendly place to meet, eat, drink and stay!

Bang in Wells has been named in fond memory of the owner, Christopher Tennant's incomparable father, the late Lord Glenconner (Colin Tennant) who named his own restaurant in St Lucia, Bang Between The Pitons.Though Wells might be a far cry from the warm, sun drenched island of St Lucia, the same warm, sunny welcome is always assured, whatever the weather!

We had a very nice lunch here. Staff were lovely and on the ball despite being busy. Food was excellent and place was very clean and the interior very warm and inviting. All finished up with a lovely coffee, what more could you want!

We had a wonderful full English breakfast at Bang in Wells today (31/12/2021) The quality was exceptional. You'll need to book, it's very busy and I can understand why. The service was also excellent.

Had a couple of fry ups; sausages were good and scrambled eggs weren't nuked in the microwave, and overall okay but nothing exceptional.

Dropped in late lunch and shared a Smoked and Crispy Fish tray with Bang Chips - it was awesome!
The twice cooked chips had that devine crispiness with fluffy middle and the selection of fish was just amazing - a real mix of tastes and textures.
Being dog friendly this was such a treat to drop into out of the cold. Log stove was burning and the coffee was great too.
Friendly staff, prompt service but nothing rushed.
A place not to miss if you're in town.

Really nice spacious cafe with lovely fireplace. Friendly service and good food. We had lunch there with our baby and they reconfigured the table to accommodate our pram. Pretty good value for money too. Coffee excellent!

Lovely little cafe at the end of the main high street in Wells. They have a great selection of food and cater well for vegetarians. We were there a couple of weeks ago for breakfast, and the vegetarian breakfast we had was delicious! Brilliant staff and friendly atmosphere.

We went for a late breakfast. We both had eggs, one Benedict with bacon one with mushroom and spinach. Both really tasty, hot and delicious. Good flat whites too. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and the wood burner much appreciated after our wet and windy walk. Dogs welcome. Will definitely return.

Met up with family for brunch, sat outside in a cosy cart shed. Felt Covid safe out there. Excellent staff and lovely food.

Came here for lunch and breakfast on separate days. The breakfast was delicious with the best hash browns I've ever had! Lunch was also wonderful as was their Victoria sponge. Great little place, good food menu and good service albeit a little slow. So good that we went twice!

I discovered Bang in Wells after a good walk on Holkham beach and the gorgeous pine forest. It was recommended to me and my companions by a crowd of local gentlemen. When we arrived we were welcomed and escorted to the beautiful courtyard at the rear. I enjoyed an outstanding full English breakfast with coffee which was perfect. My trusty companions shared a bacon rasher as they’d been awesome 👏
