Do you remember the days when everyone bought their meat from the local butcher? Do you remember the quality of the meat and the helpful advice from staff? We remember those days fondly - and our aim is to bring that shopping experience back to the homes of Buckingham. In the past, as wholesalers to the trade, we have left the sale of meat and poultry to the supermarkets - as that's how customers have shopped over the past couple of decades.
However, due to meat 'scandals', plus consumers' desire to know more about traceability, husbandry and animal welfare, shoppers are heading back to smaller, local shops. The Buckingham Butcher is a trade counter that's open to the public, caterers, public houses, restaurants or any establishment that requires meat.

They have a Rat problem due to bad hygiene and lack of following any health and safety laws. They jet wash their dirty containers outside on their drive, which they leave outside over night for their rats to play on. They DO NOT have the required interceptor tank which should take the dirty, bloody, fatty, meat filled residue away, which they… in-turn should get emptied regularly by the appropriate company! Instead they sweep the dirty water into the Storm drains which pollutes our water courses. Should someone’s vehicle be parked on the drive to the business next door, they think

Just had my first meat pack delivered this week (along with 4 ribeye steaks!). Amazing value and first rate meat. The pork steaks were melt in the mouth and so were the ribeye steaks. Bacon butties yesterday in homemade rolls were delicious and husband and grandson enjoyed the sausages. I'll make this a monthly purchase. Excellent service.

Excellent value and really good, proper, honest butchery ... I come from a family of butchers and hoteliers and I feel at home there - the ingredients used are of the highest quality as is the meat - you can judge a butcher by their sausages - it's so tempting to cut corners in making sausages but not here - hardly any fat from them when cooking and taste/texture balance is on the button. Their lean beef mince is probably the best I have ever cooked with; in a world of supermarket blandness, 'The Buckingham Butcher' stands out in terms of taste, quality and price - what's not to like?!

We are fairly new customers to the Buckingham Butcher but are very impressed by what we have had so far.
The meat is always of a superior quality and the prices low even compared to Aldi and Lidl. Last weekend we were lucky enough to score one of the "lucky dip" bags of meat for £50, so much meat... we are still working our way through the lamb leg one week on!
Thank you Buckingham Butchers and see you this weekend.

Quality Products, Quality Prices, Quality Service.
Steaks are sensational, sausages full of flavour have also tried the Gammon joint cooked slowly in coke (on advice from Trevor) outstanding and last but not least a beef brisket joint was to die for, leftovers was chopped up for a cottage pie following day. If you're local to Buckingham and haven't tried the Buckingham Butcher yet do yourself a favour and give it a go you will not regret it.
