We are a farmed butcher shop, offering traditional quality meat products, we offer a wide range of meats and have an expanded range of home made products including our award winning Burgers and Sausages. We could not have gained these accolades without our loyal, hard working and experienced members of staff, who have been trained to a high level and all have the knowledge of the latest developments.

Our shop is in Bicester and is open from 7.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday between 7.00am and 1.00pm. Peter Goss has always been noted for its range of quality traditional Burgers and Sausages. On average, we make an amazing 5,000 sausages per week all hand made on the premises. Delivery is by a refrigerated van to the catering industry, as well as offering a free home delivery service for local customers within 10 mile radius.

About Us Report

I've been in butchery since leaving school where I started working for Peter Goss as a Saturday boy then full time in 1986. I have seen the business change over the years but the same principles apply, customers want good quality meat at reasonable price. The consumers are starting to shop locally for quality locally farmed produce.

Chicken Report

We only use Banhams chickens as we feel they are the best around. We use f/r chicken and red tractor label(meaning they can be traced back to a British farm). Chicken thighs are great addition to any BBQ best started off in the oven, but also great to eat all year round. We only use Banhams chickens.

Always top quality meat and sauces etc… and reasonable prices with polite, fast service from employees.
Maybe stay out of the way of the Peter Goss Van though, not the best driving I’ve ever seen…

Pete Goss butchers is always my 2nd place to go when I'm on the hunt for a good sausage.. Find his sausages slightly on the salty side and not too kean on the prepackaged bacon. The quality of the bacon is generally very good.

As a retired butcher myself I can honestly say the pork chops we had for dinner were exceptional. It really is worth making the effort visiting this excellent butchers. This is an excellent butchery charging fair prices and providing top grade meat.
I bought a 500g 30 day aged rump which turned out perfectly.
I will definitely be returning very soon to buy more meat and will in fact start buying all my meat from here as opposed to local grocery stores.

I have ordered our Christmas Turkey from Peter Goss Butchers for the past two years and they are amazing, I usually cook for about 12 people so I order a 10kg Turkey butterfly joint and all my sausages and bacon etc. Really good quality meats, fantastic customer service. would never go anywhere else now. Just ordered so Beef Cheeks for a party on Saturday, Chap i spoke to couldn't be more helpful. These guys rock !
