Services
We live in the farmhouse at Manor Farm with our 3 children, we are close at hand for anything you may need during your stay, as well as providing information on events and attractions in the local area. We are passionate about the countryside and wildlife, and we would like you to come, share and enjoy, what we have created here at Rural Roosts, whilst on your holiday.
Our luxury self-catering pine lodges are constructed from Scandinavian pine, harvested from environmentally managed forests. Built in a traditional style, they are wonderfully warm and insulated right through the winter, and cool and comfortable in the hot weather. Accommodation consists of 8 purpose-built pine lodges, all built on a single level.
At Rural Roosts you are ideally situated to enjoy the diversity of attractions that Lincolnshire has to offer, whilst being based in a tranquil, rural location. Here are just a few of the many things that you can see and do while you are on holiday here. With Lincoln less than ten miles away you can experience the different sides that this city has to offer.
The high quality four star, self catering pine lodges surround a tranquil fishing lake (the lodge lake), well stocked with a variety of coarse fish. The lake is only available for use by guests staying at Rural Roosts! Perfect for relaxing fishing holidays. The lodges stand about 20 metres from the lake, which is approximately one and a half acres in size.
Tim and Katie are both keen walkers and cyclists so happy to help with any questions relating to Walking and Cycling in Lincolnshire. We have some fantastic farm walks right from your door, through woodlands and round the reservoir, taking in the wildlife and livestock on the farm as you go. If you like to venture a bit further we have some lovely routes, using the quiet roads and footpaths in the surrounding countryside.

Just arrived home after a four night stay in the Kingfisher lodge. Wonderful lodge and great veranda. The fishing lake was fab and so close to our lodge that we could pop back and forth as needed. My son is 11 and caught lots of fish. We were gutted this morning when it was time to leave, we could of done a full week as it was so relaxing. Can’t… wait to book again 👍🏼 And if anyone is reading this that also stayed this week, thanks for being so helpful and chatty to my son, he loves to pop round the lake when fishing and have a chat to all the other fishing men/woman

Why spend hours driving to the airport, queuing through security, waiting for your bags etc when there is such a lovely and high quality holiday waiting for you on your doorstep, especially one where you can bring your dog!
You’ll get a peaceful nights sleep with only the birds and the sound of the lake to gently wake you. You’ll be surrounded by nature and feel like you’re in a European woodland retreat. They’ve really got something special here.

Just had a 4 day break at this fabulous place, all covid precautions taken, the place was spotlessly clean, lodge surroundings are beautiful, such a peaceful and stunning setting. Nothing but birds singing and fab sunsets and sunrises. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful break. Thank you Katie and your team for providing such excellent accomodation.

Absolutely beautiful. Log cabin was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Kitchen with everything you could need. Utility room with washing machine. Modern bathroom. Hot water and central heating. Hot tub was fabulous. Hosts Tim and Katie were great. A few steps to lodge lake where hubby caught plenty of bream and carp - including a 15lb carp. The reservoir late a few hundred yards from the lodge where bigger fish reside! Will definitely return. Thank you for our lovely stay.

We love it at Rural Roosts!! We have gone for our annual holiday around 3-4 times now and stayed in Kingfisher. It’s always so clean and its dog friendly. They also supplied a travel cot and highchair for the little one. Dad enjoyed his fishing and we all loved the peace and quiet. We will definately be back, its a home from home. The owners are also very accomodating. Lincoln city centre isn’tfar at all and there are quite a few animal centres/farms nearby. Skegness is only an hour away.Thank you for another great year!
P.s one thing to make it extra special would be a hot tub at Kingfisher

Absolutely beautiful lodge, immaculately clean with all the essentials for a peaceful break with family. Being dog friendly was a bonus, our dogs loved it too! Katie & Tim cannot do enough to accommodate, nothing is too much trouble! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to be back again some time next year.

What a great holiday! The accommodation here is 5 star worthy. The place at equipped with everything you could need. The fishing is a lovely location, either near the lodges or at the big lake. Location is perfect in the countryside, only a 20 minute drive to Lincoln Town and other amenities. Will definitely be going again. Thank you for a relaxing holiday!

What a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing place. Beautiful lodges with all mod cons including hairdryer and iron. Improvements are being made currently on the lodge lake so fishing can be touchy but the reservoir is outstanding and full of gorgeous specimen carp. The owners are lovely and always there to help if and when needed and the lemon drizzle cake was gorgeous so much so we bought 3 home definitely going to be booking for next year. Thanks Tim and katie
