A very peaceful location, hotel, restaurant and bar with lodges overlooking a lake.
Great food at the Dabbling Duck Restaurant, the fillet steak was particularly good.
Our lodge was spotless clean. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Thoroughly recommend, although just to note that this quite a remote location with no phone signal.

The starter and main was awful i do not recommend dining here i felt ill after eating the only decent food was the dessert because i didn’t feel the need to force myself to eat it like the other food due to trying to be polite and also the men’s restroom had a very potent smell of urine needs better clean other than that the rooms where ok and didn’t have any problems staying the night

A lovely little hotel tucked away in peaceful countryside. Everything is in good, well-maintained condition & clean throughout, too.
Comfortable bed. Good food, though some might consider the menu more Harvester than Cordon Bleu, all the things that we tried were excellent.
The nearest thing we had to a problem was that the people in the room above had a very active toddler and we heard more of that from our room (Stable 6) than we'd have liked, but whilst definitely audible it was never loud enough to cause real unhappiness. Kids make noise, & parents need holidays too...

Wonderful location and facilities within a secluded part of Devon. The hotel offers excellent accommodation spread over a couple of original (farm) buildings that have been tastefully converted. The room I stayed in was clean and offered all facilities I required, including a resturant in the main hotel building The lodges surrounding the middle lake of 3 are of a high standard, privately owned with a number available for hire. There is fishing (carp & coarse) available in the middle and top lakes (no night fishing).
The staff are extremely polite and helpful.
A great place to relax and unwind

Beautiful scenery and peaceful setting. The hotel room was a bit snug, but comfortable. The walls are thin so I could hear everything in the room next door and above. The main dining area needs serious updating. But the staff are excellent

Lots of great reviews for Lakeview Manor, but sadly our experience was terrible. The stunning scenery and location is indisputable and the general vicinity is maintained to a very high standard. However, this is where the compliments stop. The lodge (9) is advertised as suitable for up to six guests, but quite clearly is not equipped as such. The hot tub is only suitable for four people and the headrests are disintegrating, which leaves little grey foams bits floating around despite daily cleaning. Despite a shower/ bath being advertised, there is no shower. Advisement was disputed by the manager

The first day of our weeks stay was terrible. Staff were more than rude and unhelpful when walking down to reception to ask a few questions. We were faced with argumentative remarks toward our queries regarding there being no shower in the ‘family bathroom’ and a request for more towels to use for the hot tub. Upon phoning the reception to raise these issues we were greeted with other staff members making condescending remarks in the background, maybe next time you should ensure the phone is on hold. We were finally met with the excuse that the manager was having a bad day, this does not take

Me and My new husband had the most perfect wedding day at Lakeview manor, the location and venue are stunning. Our day was perfect despite the restrictions we had to adhere to.
The whole venue is stunning and amazing! The food is so delicious and they catered for all our needs. Julie, Stacey and all the staff are fab and make the venue so special. We truly had the most amazing time. The rooms have been refurbed and are lovely also.
The whole stay was more than we could even have imagined from arriving the day before, to our wedding day and to check out it was brilliant and everyone was so helpful

Had Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago in the pouring rain, it was still lovely. Popped in for a drink on a dog walk on a sunny day, absolutely beautiful. Very friendly staff, great location and dog friendly. Love it!
