Masala India

Good food.
But the wait time was probably the longest I have ever waited for food. Few other customers were visually annoyed by their late food. This can really put someone off from returning.
The restaurant wasn’t too busy wither.
It is a shame as the food was very good.
Perhaps you need more kitchen staff.
If this issue is sorted I can see the restaurant becoming very popular. It is hard to find authentic food like this.
I hope to have a better experience should I return.

We had such a great experience at Masala India. We were a big table and put in a pre-order. Our food was all delicious - everyone really enjoyed it! The restaurant also got me flowers and chocolates for my Birthday which was so thoughtful. Will definitely be coming back!

Honestly this is probably one of the best currys I've ever had. We went for 2 tiffin boxes so essentially tried 6 curries and that were all incredible, especially the lamb, daal and aubergine. So good. Cant wait to go back. And its BYOB. The best.

I LOVE this place. BYOB, affordable, and some of the best Indian/Bangladeshi food I’ve tried full stop. So cosy, family-orientated and just the best food. Love, love, love. (Order the tiffin.)

Great food the tiffen boxes are amazing value.
The slow cooked lamb was delicious even with with my post covid dulled taste!
It’s also BYO (off license next door) and the puddings were good too!

First time dining in this restaurant and have had a very pleasant experience. Complimentary poppadoms given upon entry which is always a plus. Food was prepared within a good time and was tasty. Delicious and fresh. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend and will dine here again. Thank you Masala India :)

Had such a delicious meal here last night. The vegan tiffin was incredible, and the samosa chaat, pakoras and Pani Puri were amazing too, some of the best we've had (and we eat a lot of Indian food). My parents were blown away by the lamb chops and prawn curry too. Service was excellent, the covered outside was a lovely setting and byob is always a plus. Authentic, flavourful food with lovely, charming service, we will definitely be returning!

Firstly, the food is exquisite. The chops and lamb bhuna are worth traveling/waiting/selling a limb for.
Secondly, the service is excellent. The famy are all lovely and cannot be praised enough.
Thirdly, as a BYOB place it's fortunately got a couple of decent off licences nearby, so you can spend your money on chops and get the booze you want (if… of course you do want) rather than paying over the odds for something you don't really fancy.
Lastly, the chops. They're the best in London. They really are, they're better than that place does them. Better than those ones too.

We’ve had a few recommendations for this place and I am so glad we finally made it.
We had such a warm welcome (even with our two kids) and the food really is outstanding. We enjoyed everything we ordered but the lamb was really stand out. Amazingly with a few street food snacks and starters our 2 tiffin meals easily fed all 4 of us, plus extra for take away. It’s very reasonably priced, BYOB and the heated garden is perfect for this time of year. We cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Such an incredible gem in Leyton! We visited for a dinner during the week and everything was perfect! Staff was incredibly friendly and smiling, we loved that! We were offered the opportunity to choose where to seat (either the back or the tables close to the entrance door - we chose the former and the atmosphere was lovely & relaxed at the same time!). Food was SO delicious and flavourful! Every dish we ordered had "its own personality" and portions were big! We loved having the opportunity to interact with the owner of the restaurant at the end of our dinner and knowing more about his restaurant

I just love everything about this place. The food is perhaps the best in London and there’s something really special about the family run atmosphere.

Really good genuine warm friendly restaurant with excellent service and food. Loved it.

My fiancé and I have been there twice so far and are working our way though the menu. Delicious food, lovely host and we would highly highly recommend going there.

Fantastic food - had a takeaway from Masala India last night for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. I tried different items I wouldn't normally go for - my favourite was the Dim (Egg) Salan, very subtle and really tasty! I'll be back for sure.
