Bruce and Luke's began in 2011 when Bruce Brown and Luke Jackson teamed up to run "Foxes Cafe Lounge" in the centre of Carlisle. Since then the cafe generated popularity and acclaim becoming a staple of Carlisle's food and coffee scene. Then in 2014 we branched out to set up our own coffee roastery, this was born out of our shared love of awesome speciality coffee.
The first Bruce and Luke's coffee shop opened it's doors in 2014 serving our own brand of awesome coffee, alongside our now famous donuts. The vision for our stores was simple; create a fun vibrant environment that serves amazing coffee and donuts. Our team has grown and is now full of enthusiastic staff that simply love what they do.

Services
We began our coffee adventure after taking over the popular foxes cafe lounge in Carlisle. After becoming tired of coffee that just wouldn't behave, from extraction times to inconsistent quality; we decided to take matters into our own hands and produce top quality coffee. Our roastery produces top quality delicious coffee that is perfect for espresso.

Been to the gretna one 3 times now. the first time was lovely! second time they only had the plain glazed donuts left and this was at 1pm! we asked the woman if they were making any more kinds of donuts and she said no so we settled for the one kind available.. 10 minutes later they brought out several trays of different kinds of fresh donuts! not… only the crap choice of donuts in the middle of the day, the “milkshakes” just tasted like milk with whipped cream on them which is ridiculous considering they cost almost £4 each! then today we thought we’d give it one

I tried the car wash for the first time and unfortunately it was a really half baked attempt. The car was still evidently dirty in areas to the extent that you could see the sponge/wash mitt path through it. It looked like someone’s kid had washed the car for a bit of pocket money. For some reason I assumed I’d get a better quality wash than you… get at Shiny or the other hand wash places in Carlisle, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Not only was the car still dirty in places (basically from the bottom 3rd of the doors down all the way round) but it wasn’t dried

A welcoming, friendly coffee and snack stop (excellent lunchtime soup) in this nook behind Carlisle’s main shopping street, and adjacent to the cathedral. The menu is well priced and has a decent range, including vegetarian options. The seating is a mix of traditional tables and more relaxed couches and sofas, where relaxing and reading, or chatting along with friends is acceptable and comfy.
