Little French
We are a fully independent, family-owned restaurant located in our neighbourhood of Westbury Park. The informal approach continues into the evening when you can sit at the bar with a glass of wine and some simple bar snacks such as lamb chops with rosemary salt; oysters with shallot vinegar; or milk fed lamb kidneys with Dijon mustard.

For lunch and dinner, we serve unpretentious French food, engaging wines at sensible prices, and most of all a relaxed friendly vibe. Our produce-led dishes use ingredients sourced from the very best suppliers form across Europe. The restaurant design and interiors have all been created by Freddy's wife Nessa, who also works front of house.

We must tell you, the owner, and especially the chef that we had probably the best meal for years. I mean years. We are both avid foodies and both very capable of making fantastic food at home. But when you go out for a meal and you come across the absolutely fabulous meal we had today i feel i need to share with everyone. We had no fault with the venue, staff, service or food. Will definitely be travelling out of our way (we live in Cardiff) to return again. The praise has been extended to family and friends. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.....you have a brilliant chef.....it most definitely

BURNT CREME BRULEE!!
Like most people, I have had creme brulee multiple times and even once at little french, so I think I can safely say that I know how creme brulee should look like and it should not be overcooked. It was completely black on the top and extremely bitter. I informed my waitress regarding my burnt pudding to which she responded 'but everything was else was OK?' I confirmed that I was indeed happy with my starter and main course. She then took my plate away without even an apology or offer to replace me with a fresh one or take the item off my bill.

Food was beautiful, particularly the starters - scallops and pigeon both exceptional. Nice wine & cocktails, friendly service. It was a shame they couldn’t reach to putting a sparkler in dessert or any other special touches as we were there for a birthday and spent a lot of money. Worth a visit for a special occasion if you don’t mind spending a fair bit on a meal.

Pleasant place with nice bread, good selection of wines, and very tasty well priced food. Kitchen can get a bit smokey, but food is hearty.

Though they don’t have a brunch menu, having brunch at this location is something we’ve started to do pretty frequently with mates. In the summer you can eat outside in a nice covered area with plenty of seating. Peppercorn beef fillet is my favorite main plus all their desserts are delicious.

We spent my 50th birthday last weekend in Bristol (our first time visiting there) after seeing "Remarkable Places To Eat" on the BBC where Michel Roux Jr took Fred Sirieix to the city to show some foodie gems. So we had dinner at Littlefrench, and it was some of the best food which I've ever eaten. The mushroom soup in particular was probably the best soup we've ever eaten, and the mains of the beef fillet & the mussels really hit the spot. As for the puddings, the prune & Armagnac tart, & the chocolate mousse were to die for. But on top of that, the service was as good as it gets - they apologised

Fabulous food and wonderful service. The portions are extremely generous and they also have an extensive drinks list. The restaurant is a short drive from the city centre but is is absolutely worth the trip. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Had a great dining experience, sampling a variety of dishes. Good wine selection, and great value overall. We sat in the outside seating area, good atmosphere and friendly and relaxed service. Will be visiting again when we can find a table to book!

A great little restaurant that lives up to its reputation. Fantastic food in a nice quiet location. Freshly prepared, authentic French cuisine; delicious and not pretentious at all. The staff were fantastic and made the evening all that more enjoyable. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We started with Oysters, then bone marrow followed by the amazing cote de boeuf and fresh strawberries for pudding. If the weather's nice you can sit outside in a nice courtyard by the side of the restaurant. Would highly recommend but I know they are booked up for a while!
