Upon check in we found three pairs of dirty knickers in the bedroom.
Whilst they were swiftly removed, when we voiced our discomfort about staying in the room we weren't offered a fresh clean, new room. Just a shrug f the shoulders and sorry. The person who entered our room had a poorly fitting mask that kept falling off their face.
At check out we were offered a £20 refund and we accepted and asked for a call to follow up as we didn't feel that was sufficient. It did not feel to us that the room could have had a thorough and deep clean before we checked in (especially considering we're in the

Fab hotel set in a lovely courtyard with the low-rise rooms built around it like bungalows. Very clean and quiet. The service was excellent abd efficiently run for an evening meal and the breakfast the following morning. A really lovely hotel that we'd definitely return to. Thank you to all the welcoming staff who made our stay so perfect.

We had no choice but to book this hotel as everywhere else was booked out. Looking at most of the reviews we thought this hotel would be really good and clean. However it turned out that these reviews were deceiving as we did not enjoy our stay. When we arrived the rooms were filthy and disgusting my kids found bugs all over the carpet and a massive spider in the bathroom. The carpet was so old and dirty we had to lay towels on the carpet just to walk about. There was also a cockroach that was found on the carpet as well as a dead fly that never got cleaned. Incredibly helpful when my wife booked - accommodating and understanding. Super happy with the rooms and how they were presented. Staff doing a great job with breakfast service considering the restrictions. The actual breakfast was great - choose what you want and ask for extras if you needed it - nothing was too much trouble. Great check in and check out times too. We would happily book and stay again. Thanks for a great few nights.
