During this one year programme, graduates and early career dancers will perform alongside Loop professionals, gain teaching experience, organise projects and gain the skills needed to become a professional dance artist. Services
Loop Dance Company is the resident dance company at The Brook Theatre in Chatham. The Artistic Director, Nina Atkinson, and six dancers create contemporary repertory work for touring, often working with internationally renowned guest choreographers. Loop also has an extensive dance education programme, for people who have never danced before, to professional dancers who want to perfect their skills.
Kiran began dancing at the age of 19 and completed his degree with a 2:1 from the University of Chichester. He started taking class at Loop on the completion of his degree and has been a regular in class during school holidays. For 6 years Kiran has been a dance teacher and head of department at a busy comprehensive school committed to developing and exploring dance pedagogy enabling students to develop both personal and dance skills.
Harriet is a Dance Artist, Performer, Choreographer and Teacher. Central to her work is the belief of standing firmly behind the principles and objectives of the projects in which she is involved. Whilst at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, she undertook a year-long internship with Loop Dance Company and also completed a placement with The Limon Company, New York.
Daisy began her training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BPA(Hons) in Contemporary Dance. She then joined Transitions Dance Company and toured internationally works by Lauri Stallings, Tom Dale and Augusto Corrieri. During her time with Transitions, Daisy studied for an MA in Dance Performance.
Rebecca began her dance training at West Kent College and went on to graduate with a BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance from Newcastle College's Performance Academy in 2011. As well as performing with Lila Dance, Southpaw Dance Company and Sidonie Carey-Green.
Since joining Loop Dance Company's Dance Artist Support Programme, Rebecca performed in 'The Timid Hedgehog and the Forgotten Forest', Big Dance Medway, and participated in research and development with Maths Dance and Sivan Rubenstein.
