Services
The school was established in Enfield in 1978 by professional martial arts teachers David and Lilian Alleyn together with their children Brian and Christine. Shihan Christine is now running both SJK & BPK due to the passing of both David Sensei 2019 & Lilian Sensei in 2013.
We all studied shotokan karate and self defence under the internationally renowned Japanese shotokan martial arts masters Kanazawa, Asano, Enoeda, Kato, Kawasoe, Kase, Ohta and K. Funakoshi Sensei.David was a 7th Dan black belt Master of Karate Sensei (Unfortunately David passed away in 2019).

All 5th Kyu students and above (Purple belt and above only) 1 and a half hour training session. The membership during this time is free, but you may apply for it after you have completed the introductory course along with a licence and insurance (compulsory in all martial arts). If you decide to join us as a member at the end of the three or four-week course.
There will be no normal lessons on these dates. If you are not grading on these days you will not be charged on these days and your lesson fees will carryover to the next lesson. You MUST be wearing you correctly graded belt on the day. This will only confuse the judges if you are not in the correct ranked belt and could mean your assessed at a level you may have already passed.
Adhere to the training schedule and try not to be late. However, if the delay is due to circumstances beyond your control, do not join the class until you have been asked to by your sensei, and make the Sensei aware of the reason at the end of the class. If you are late and the class has begun, stop at the door, kneel in the Seiza position, and await acknowledgement from the Sensei or Sempai before joining the class.
