Faced with a drain repair? Have you been told that it requires an excavation? UK Drainage only excavate when absolutely necessary. No-dig technology/lining has improved so much that the majority of drainage repairs and replacements can be completed without having to dig at all. However, there are some occasions when excavation is the only way to do the job effectively.
At UK Drainage we understand why an emergency response is essential to restore use of facilities for business and homeowners alike. Our team of expert drainage engineers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. An emergency service is delivered quickly and efficiently to tackle any drainage problem, from a simple blockage to broken sewage pumps.
Pitch fibre is a notoriously unreliable drainage material which was in use extensively between the 1950s and 1970s. As the material that is wood, cellulose impregnated with inert coal tar pitch, it's not really surprising that such pipes only have an average lifespan of around 40 years. This means that most pitch fibre pipework is now coming to the end of its intended lifespan which can lead to many problems.
What jetting is used for? The majority of pipework accumulates silt, grease, scale, debris or other deposits over time. High pressure water jetting is one of the most effective methods of clearing away these common problems, leaving the pipe clean and free flowing. It can be used as a preventative measure to keep pipework functioning correctly, as well as a curative measure to remove blockages.
The regular maintenance of grease traps is often forgotten, leaving sites with potentially serious consequences, such as blocked sinks, grease over-flowing from the trap and severely blocked drains. UK Drainage provides a full on-site cleaning service with selected cleaning dates to suit your requirements.
