After frustration that there wasn't a independent cheesemonger based in St. Albans, owner Ed Bevin decided to take matters into his own hands. Living in Fleetville he realised there was also a need for a local spot to get great coffee, in a relaxed environment, with quality food offered. So he put the 2 concepts together, quit his city job and the Larder was born!
Cheese takes centre stage in the Fleetville Larder, with an ever-changing counter full of artisan British and European cheeses. These are hand cut to take away, or are offered to eat-in, as part of our popular cheese and meat platters. You are encouraged to try before you buy! The Fleetville Larder is fully licenced, so you can also choose from a range of wines, beers and ciders, to drink in or take away.

Services
To place an order, add the products into your cart. Once you have completed your shop, please fill in all your details and confirm the order. We will call back to confirm order, process a card payment over the phone and arrange a delivery time - usually same day if the request is before 2pm. Otherwise, simply telephone us on 01727 863237, or email Ed@FleetvilleLarder.com and someone will be on hand to talk you through the process.
We have held a range of events at the Larder, including regular Wine, Beer and Gin tastings, Film nights, talks and even a monthly Death Cafe! We can also cater for private functions for upto 25 people. Whilst we are unable to run any evening events at this time, we will let you know as soon as that changes - just sign up to receive updates!.

Went in for the 1st time today. There was so many things to look at! Only thing I would say is staff were abit unapproachable- maybe i just was in when they had lots to do as it was in the morning. However, a simple good morning or did you get everything you wanted or was there anything in particular you are looking for would have been nice

Fantastic service and delivery. As our country and the world are going through this pandemic The fleetville larder offered a fantastic home delivery service with some basic foods, keeping us safe at home. The delivery was made within 40 minutes. Community is key and very happy that the Fleetville larder is part of our fantastic community.
