We will continue to ensure we have an understanding of your condition before offering face to face sessions. This may mean a video call or simply a chat over the phone to establish your requirements. Treatment sessions will remain 45 minutes or an hour, and we will have a minimum of 15 minutes between patients to ensure the treatment room is cleaned and aired thoroughly.

Services
Advance Physio is committed to the highest standard of physiotherapy care and both Julia Kilby and Cath Cooke have advanced training and qualifications. We are committed to providing treatment based on research evidence, wherever possible, and we maintain an awareness and knowledge of guidelines formulated both in the UK and abroad.
We offer a holistic physiotherapy service, encompassing all aspects of you as a person and your general health, while we consider your individual problem(s). On your first session we will ask questions about your pain and difficulties. We will explore your general health, any investigations you have undergone, your past medical history and your medication.
We follow national guidelines on the management of spinal pain (NICE Guidelines), which ensures that your management is both safe and appropriate. We assess and treat the whole spine, so if your pain is in the back of your chest, rather than in your neck, we can help here too. Treatment follows a careful examination, exploring symptom behaviour, and selecting a personalised treatment programme.
One of the most frequently seen conditions, often affecting knees and hips, but also shoulders, fingers and ankles. The condition itself may not change but there's lots we can do to help you when you have arthritis.
Treatment includes optimising joint range of movement (when joints are stiff), strengthening the muscles controlling the joint (this reduces the 'strain' on the joint), addressing general fitness and stamina and providing treatment to ease pain in the area.We can refer you back to your GP with a letter recommending specialist referral when required.

The variability of sports injury is enormous, but we recognise the need to 'get back to normal' as fast as possible, whatever the problem. Soft tissue injuries may need local treatment, support and muscle strengthening around the area to prevent disuse problems as the area heals.
You will require help with return to sport as your symptoms settle, gradually reintroducing provocative movements and ensuring you have adequate balance and control before participating fully. You will be encouraged, as much as possible, to continue with exercising the unaffected body parts, and strategies will be explored to allow you to do this.

After a shoulder injury I was recommended to see Cath at Advanced Physio and so glad I did as the physio provided was excellent and very reasonably priced. Cath also helped my husband and son - all three of us recovered quickly with her help. I would highly recommend Cath to anyone who needs physio.

Needed physiotherapy following hip replacement surgery and the NHS were less than helpful. However, I came across Advance Physiotherapy via an internet search and can only say I would not have made the recovery I have without the support of Cath who, not only gave me confidence in what I was already doing, but also gave me additional exercises that I am sure improved my recovery. I would have no hesitation in recommending Advance Physiotherapy

A returning client due to previous thorough, knowledgeable and professional services received from Cath over the past number of years for me and other family members - but his time - as a video appointment.
The video call worked extremely well from the diagnosis of my problem, and the resulting mix of exercises emailed through within hour of finishing. This has to be the way forward to help clients in this tricky time we find ourselves. Can't recommend Cath's services highly enough.
