Glenfields Care Home
We provide person-centred care to the highest standards on a private and social funded basis and we specialise in dementia care and complex care needs. Laura graduated from the University of East Anglia and obtained additional qualifications in hospitality management and marketing. Her early career was in customer service with various blue chip companies before she came into the family business.

Laura found the move to be a natural progression as she spent more time in the business and became fully involved from 2003. She ensures we provide person-centred care to the highest standards and comply fully with the increasingly demanding regulatory requirements. Sarah has worked in the care industry for over 20 years.
Services
The imposing Glenfields care home was built as an officer's residence at the old RAF Driffield air base. The modern facilities including a sizeable lounge for activities and relaxation. A courtyard provides residents with the opportunity to sit outside and tend to the plants and one of the main attractions of the home is the vast back garden, where residents enjoy sitting and walking.
All the care that we provide in our residential homes is delivered in a person-centred way. We recognise that everybody is an individual and has their own requirements. That philosophy extends to our residents' families. We recognise that selecting a care home for a loved one is a difficult decision and we try to make the process as smooth and as comfortable as possible.
One of our core activities is the provision of person-centred care services for the older generation. Often this is provided on a residential basis but we also welcome people for short term and respite care and for day visits to enjoy our facilities and surroundings and to socialise with our other residents.
Our care home has the specialist manual handling equipment to enable our highly-trained staff to deal with disabilities effectively and in a dignified way. We also have equipment which enables us to adapt our environment to accommodate the needs of disabled residents, and we have a strong neighbourhood care network which enables residents to receive visits from such specialists as district nurses and physiotherapists.
Our dedication to supporting the families and friends of our residents is particularly important when it comes to advance care planning. We undergo specialist training with Dove House Hospice and we encourage end of life planning to ensure the wishes of our residents and their loved ones of all cultures and religions are respected.

After a hip operation my Mum suffered a further fall whilst under glenfields care which I believe led to her passing. The governments covid rules did not help but leaving mum in isolation was an accident waiting to happen, I assumed she was in safe hands but apparently the physiotherapist said it was ok to leave mum isolated in a chair on a solid floor. Im not even sure if the physio has been informed all I know is our mum(Joan) is no more, rest in peace mum x

Very friendly staff greeted me at the door
I had a walk around the home and was introduced to residents which made me feel welcomed.
I was told glenfield was a family run home by a lady called Laura, I didn't meet this lady but by seeing the home, bedrooms, care staff and cooks I just knew this was an exceptional care home.
Every residents was asked or helped with care, all the beds were made and rooms were tidied around.
We assisted most of the residents to the dining table some requested to stay in there rooms for
