Rockvale Guest House will be offered as self-catering accommodation throughout 2021. The house sleeps 10 within five ensuite bedrooms. There is a conseratory/sitting room, well equipped kitchen, utility room, dining room and large entrance porch/study. We are located on Tiree's north coast just a short walk across the beautiful machair to Balephetrish Bay.
Here you will be followed by inquistive seals as you explore the natural arches and fascinating rockpools. Otters, hares, corncrakes and hen harriers are all to be seen around Rockvale. The Isle of Tiree is the outermost of the Inner Hebrides and is renowned for its miles of beautiful white sandy beaches.

Services
Rockvale has been in local fisherman Neil MacPhail's family for the last three generations. The croft came to the MacPhail family after the First World War when the crofts of Balephetrish were allotted to returning servicemen on the Club System. At this time the crofts were all given names, Parkhouse, Hillview, Hillcrest and Rockvale to name a few.
Rockvale is a beautifully presented five bedroomed house situated close to Balephetrish beach. All bedrooms are en suite and individually designed using high quality furnishings and fittings. Each bedroom has it's own TV/DVD player, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and free wifi. One room is suitable for wheelchair access with a fully accessible en suite.
From the end of March through to October Tiree has a daily ferry service from Oban via Coll. During the winter months this is reduced to four ferry crossings per week. The ferry takes approximately 4 hours and offers the perfect opportunity for spotting wildlife. There is also a ferry link to Barra once a week for those wishing to island hop.
The Isle of Tiree is the outermost of the Inner Hebrides and is renowned for its miles of beautiful white sandy beaches. Due to its scenic beauty, watersports, wildlife and peaceful relaxed pace Tiree makes an ideal holiday destination. Thanks to the influence of the Gulf stream Tiree benefits from a milder climate than the Scottish mainland and we also some of the highest recorded hours of sunshine for the UK.

Fantastic clean rooms, comfy mattress and quality tea and caffatiere coffee! Breakfast was dynamite and Becky does cracking home made granola. Me and my pals will be returning in 2020!! Only thing I will say is the twin room is a king size which split into with individual cabinets which looks lovely but they are a drop on the small side for if your a bit big then a double room may be better

Extremely well-organized and welcoming. Rockvale was comfortable and meticulously clean. Breakfast had lots of choice, including grapefruit, full Scottish, and a generous helping of coffee. Check out is 11am, and with an evening ferry departure we were able to leave our luggage at reception, access the conservatory, and continue with our exploration of the island until the pre-booked bus to the ferry terminal picked us up.
