However, as we are unable to social distance in our reception area, our on-site shop and Games Room will not be open this year. Retanna is a quiet family run holiday caravan and camping park in west Cornwall just a few miles from glorious Cornish beaches and close to Falmouth and Helston with easy access from the A394.

In a tranquil setting amidst beautiful countryside, Retanna Holiday Park is the ideal location for families, couples & commercial bookings seeking a peaceful caravan or camping holiday (no bar or noisy disco), yet within easy reach of the many holiday attractions and beaches on the Cornish Riviera Coast in south west Cornwall.
Services
With seven price groups of caravans to choose from we're sure everyone's budget can be satisfied. From the 12' wide Gweek caravans offering more space for a cot to be added to the double bedroom, and the very successful Helford caravans with heaters in all rooms ideal for early & late season breaks.
The easy access off the A394 Falmouth / Helston road makes Retanna a delightful touring base, giving you the choice of a different route to discover each day. There are tarmac roads to the camping & touring area and sheltered mostly tree-lined enclosures with electric hookups, all individually numbered.
We are now able offer 'Bell tent Glamping' the perfect luxury upgrade from the regular camping experience. Our Five metre canvas Bell Tents are located in a hidden corner of the campsite you will find peace and tranquillity. If it's camping under the stars that you're after, then this is the place for you.
At reception there is also tourist information leaflets, and a shop offering some basic everyday essentials. Refurbished play ground: to suit the younger holiday-maker we have a cradle swing and the '9 Maidens Express' climb-on train. Older children have a climbing tower with slide, scramble logs, and small agility course consisting of swinging steps, balance beams, wobbly plank and stepping stones.
Retanna Holiday Park is well placed for enjoying the sandy beaches and attractions in the west of Cornwall. Falmouth, the premier resort in West Cornwall, is close by. Gyllyngvase Beach, one of its four main beaches, is pictured above. Falmouth is home of the renowned National Maritime Museum and is brimming with boats, watersports and high street shops.

Nice open space plenty of room to pitch.
Very large touring & camping areas, unfortunately let down badly by the site facilities.
To say it's such a large site, the toilet & showering facilities were woefully inadequate for the number of guests.
From memory I think my wife said there were 4 toilet stalls, sinks & showers for the ladies & 3 toilet stalls, sinks, showers & 4 urinals for the gents.
These areas were cleaned by the hard working staff, but with such a high foot fall they were not clean for very long.
This was not helped by the grass cuttings that were trodden in all the time.

Lovely little family run site, read so many bad reviews before coming here, but honestly nothing wrong with this place. Does what it says on the tin. Clean facilities which are constantly cleaned

Really nice campsite. Lovely little park for the kids. Only not 5 stars as they have no recycling facilities, and the toilet facilities (although good) could do with checking on a bit more than once a day.
We were placed on badgers field, they place the tents and caravans around the edge so there is a massive space in the middle for the kids to run around and play which is well used. A really nice campsite for a really good price.

We stayed in their Bell Tents, it was clean and the holiday park supplied us with an electric heater, toaster, kettle and plates, cutlery etc. It also had a fridge which was handy esp when you have kids.
Showers were nice and hot. Everything was clean. Hand gel at the park and outside toilets.
Would definitely stay again.
Owner has been lovely and helpful throughout us booking and staying.
Thank you.

We was greeted with first class hospitality from the start. That's very important to us, first impressions and all that. Was not disappointed throughout our week's stay. Neil was hands on with everything. Very helpful and keeps the sight immaculate.
The location is spot on if your visiting places like Lands End, The Lizzard, Porthleven, Falmouth, St Ives and Penzance.
So thank you Rettana Holiday Park for a lovely holiday we will be back...

Just returned from a three night stay at Retanna Holiday Park near Helston, Cornwall. My wife stayed here 12 years ago when she was pregnant with our son. It’s a lovely site that has quite a few permanent residential properties mixed with statics for hire. We stayed in the top field that is a nice big open space overlooking the lush surrounding landscape. We had electrical hook up and a great pitch with a slight slope. It was nice and clean with a shower and toilet block close by that was kept very clean. Taps in the toilets could do with replacing as they don’t stay on and you are constantly

Fantastic location, pitches and facilities. The site was extremely well maintained including toilets and showers. Friendly manager and residents making you feel very welcome, but the highlight of our stay has to be the maintenance team who provided us with great company and some fantastic food - be sure to request pitch 4 or 5 if you fancy some of Neil’s chicken pie! We will 100% be back.
