CTP are consulting civil and structural engineers. We are based in Sevenoaks in Kent and work nationally as CTP Consulting Engineers and internationally as CTP Consulting Engineers International. Founded in 1987 on the principles of sound, flexible and imaginative engineering design, we provide a highly professional service to suit our clients' particular requirements and timescales.
We seek to maximise the potential of every project, minimise the use of resources and help to create structures and environments that are efficient, durable and enjoyable. Our award-winning work ranges from small-scale refurbishment and extension to large-scale new build in all areas from residential, education, healthcare and arts to commercial, sports, infrastructure and ports.

Services
We aim to display a lightness of touch in all our projects. This is particularly relevant in structural engineering whether the structures are visible or embedded within the building envelope. We provide services for a wide range of projects, from small works to large mixed-use developments, and across all sectors.
The assessment of existing marine structures and design of new facilities requires an understanding of the environmental and geological conditions at the location concerned. We regularly work closely with other specialist consultants to obtain the relevant geotechnical, wind and wave data to input into our designs.
Our heritage specialists tackle projects holistically. We have tremendous experience in both the repair of existing structures and the insertion of new facilities. We speak the language of conservation. To work on historic buildings with sensitivity is a vocation; it is something learnt through commitment.
Traffic assessments and transport engineering are in integral part of the planning process for most developments. The need to identify appropriate travel plans and identify how traffic intensity and flow will be affected by new development is recognised by planning authorities as being an essential part of the approval process.
The repair of structures requires determination of the causes and extent of deterioration. In addition, the extent to which any deterioration affects the integrity of a structure is critical to adopting appropriate and economic repair solutions.
We have extensive experience in assessing the causes and consequences of the deterioration of structures and building fabric including initial assessments, identifying appropriate sampling and testing and identification of remedial options.
