The school started with only one pupil and has developed over the years to 100+ pupils and our very own dance studio. Our goal at Stars Dance Academy is to create young strong dancers, who have confidence in their own ability and take pride in their achievements, whether they want to simply enjoy dance classes as a hobby or move on to a career in professional dance.
Students of the Academy are able to take part in shows, showcases, competitions and ISTD examinations. The ISTD is a high standard faculty, regularly monitored and audited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), to ensure their standards are maintained. This stamp of approval should reassure you as parents that the ISTD qualifications are comparable to those your children study within the National Qualifications framework at school.

Services
Our Classes Start at the age of 18 months. We provide a fun-filled 30-minute class which aims to develop and improve children's gross motor skills. Through movement to music, mime and imaginative play, children experience physical, social, and cognitive development; it is the perfect introduction to dance for very young children.
These are for any child of any age or ability and they can do wonders for confidence and performance. Once a child has been attending classes for at least 6 months, with Miss Louise's approval they can start training for competitions. We take part in around 5 or 6 competitions a year and during a competition children are entered into a group of similar aged children who each perform a solo in the same dance style.
Louise Fitzgerald, "Miss Louise", is Principal of the school. Having danced since the age of 2, winning several competitions and awards, as well as performing in a multitude of shows in her amateaur career, she gained a Distinction for a BTEC in Performing Arts before going on to study on a professional dancers and teachers of dance course at Preston College of Dance.
