Stuart qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1996 and currently works both in the public and private sectors. He obtained his Masters degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2006 and is a member of the coveted MACP. Stuart has a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions, and has a special interest in the management of Spinal Pain.
He works very closely with the local spinal surgeons, and is able to interpret MRI scans of the spine and give appropriate advice. Stuart has played most sports at a good competitive level and has a single figure golf handicap. His extensive training has enabled him to understand the mechanical stresses each activity places on your body, and using sound clinical thought processes will apply his skills using 'hands on' treatment to help your pain.

Following referral from a GP , Stuart treated my 'never before' stiff neck problems , which after a few sessions was completely eased. This was my first ever visit to physiotherapy and found Stuart to be extremely competent and confident with an excellent client facing manner. Accordingly I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

I can’t speak highly enough of the treatment I received from Stuart recently. I had been suffering, on and off for years, with pain in my lower back, and more persistently for the last 12 months. Through Stuart’s approach to fully investigate all injuries, going back years, he identified that my problem was due to an injury I suffered when I cracked my pelvis when I was a teenager. With his gentle treatment and a light exercise plan I am now pain free, after only 5 sessions. I feel like I have a new pair of hips and have a sense of balance all over my body. I’m sure he has saved me from further

I can’t speak highly enough about Stuart as a physiotherapist. His holistic approach to my treatment has made a huge difference to my quality of life. I would recommend Stuart to anyone suffering from chronic pain. He is knowledgable, thorough and truly cares about his patients. My only regret is that I didn’t see him sooner.

I was recently referred to Stuart by a specialist after being diagnosed with a prolapsed disc in my neck. Not only has my course of treatment been extremely effective so far, but Stuart has been particularly understanding of my intense anxiety around this injury (and actually, just my anxiety in general) which has really given me full confidence in the whole process. I’ve seen other physiotherapists in the past for this injury (before diagnosis) and for other minor ailments and the difference in clarity, knowledge and understanding is honestly night and day - I couldn’t recommend enough.

Highly recommend Stuart at Hide Physiotherapy. I initially went to see him with a strange pain in my right foot during marathon training, Stuart immediately spotted the issue(which others had missed) and it was resolved within a week. Has since helped me greatly with some stretches and exercises to improve my flexibility which has improved my running considerably. Very friendly and welcoming, I also felt that he took the time to really listen to my concerns and find ways to help
