Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Weston Museum and as such their value is immeasurable. From the friendly face of welcome, to behind the scenes admin and research, there isn't a single part of our service that volunteers are not involved with. We pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and welcome volunteers from all walks of life and the diversity this brings to the team.
Weston Museum is home to a unique Grade 2 listed wood block floor. These wooden blocks have inspired us to give you the opportunity to support the further redevelopment of Weston Museum. Each block will be laser cut into a unique numbered floor block which will become a permanent fixture in the museum's floor and become part of the spectacular heritage Weston Museum has to offer.
Weston Museum prides itself on being a space for learning and offers a range of learning sessions and resources for schools, colleges, and community groups. We have experienced children's educators and a host of learning tools. We believe it's all about a hands-on, interactive, and creative learning experience that can't be found on a whiteboard or even a Victorian chalk one!
We understand that families choose to home educate their children for a whole variety of reasons and we always aim to do the best that we can to support a mixture of needs and learning styles. The team at Weston Museum love working with our local community of home educating families and hold fun and engaging sessions and events specifically tailored for them.
