Uniquely situated on the edge of the City of Wells (England's smallest City), Islington House is adjacent to the magnificent Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace and Gardens. The house has a lovely rural outlook over fields and parkland and is part of Islington Farm the owner's property, a small holding of two and a half acres.

Just a few minutes walk away passing the moated Bishop's Palace is the ancient Market Place which leads to the High Street where there is a varied selection of shops, restaurants, inns and eating places. Markets are still held every Wednesday (Farmer's Market) and Saturday throughout the year. There is a park, bowling green and children's playground just across the road.
Services
One room is a twin room with en suite which boasts fine views of St. Andrew's stream, which runs through the grounds, and the other is a double room with an en-suite that overlooks the garden. All rooms include comfortable armchairs, tea and coffee-making facilities and flatscreen TV's with digital freeview.

The location of this cosy place is absolutely perfect for a visit to Wells. A very short walk and you are on High Street or by Vicars close and the cathedral. You can park your car inside the gate. Had the best scrambled eggs and salmon for a Long time for Breakfast. Uh and then have alpacas 😊
