Bargoed Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy offering a prescription collection and delivery service to Bargoed, Gilfach and the surrounding areas. We offer an online repeat prescription ordering service, making it easier for you to obtain your regular medication. We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions.

Our staff are always on hand to advise you on the use of over-the-counter and prescription medicines. We have a Private Consultation Room available where you can speak to our staff in confidence. We collect Prescriptions from Surgeries throughout the county including Bargoed, Gilfach, Deri, Gelligaer, New Tredegar, Ystrad Mynach, Fleur de Lis, Pengam, Cefn Fforest and Blackwood surgeries.

Services Report

As your local community pharmacy we can offer a wide range of services and facilities for you and your family. We dispense NHS and private prescriptions and can advise on how best to take your medicines. We will record the details of the prescriptions that we dispense on our computerised Patient Medication Record to enable us to check suitability of your medication and check for any interactions.

Prescriptions Report

We collect Prescriptions from Surgeries throughout the county including Bargoed, Gilfach, Deri, Gelligaer, New Tredegar, Ystrad Mynach, Fleur de Lis, Pengam, Cefn Fforest and Blackwood surgeries. On a monthly basis place your prescription order with us (either online, by phone or in the Pharmacy).

Prescription Ordering Report

Required to receive a text message to inform you when your Prescription is ready for collection. I give permission for Bargoed Pharmacy to receive my prescriptions from the surgery either by collection, by post or by electronic transfer. I will contact the pharmacy if I want to change this arrangement.

Common Ailments Report

The common ailments service offers patients access to free NHS advice and treatment for common ailments that cannot be managed by self care. The service offers an alternative to making an appointment with the GP to discuss the following 26 conditions. The service can be used by any patient who lives in Wales or is registered to a Welsh GP practice.

Smoking Cessation Report

We provide a free NHS stop smoking service from our pharmacy, without the need to see a GP. We offer private one-to-one consultations with an experienced, trained advisor and weekly support to motivate and guide you to a healthier life. You are 4 x more likely to quit with NHS support. Give us a ring or call in to the Pharmacy to make an appointment and to pick up your FREEFresh Start Pack.

Good old fashion service
The most friendly and helpful business I have been in for years. Lovely lady on the tills and young pharmacist are both very pleasant and polite; nothing being too much trouble for them. I love going in there - its true serve with a smile. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy

So polite, caring, fast at gettin your prescription ready always happy to give advice a loving atmosphere I live 3 miles away from pharmacy and I still come to bargoed pharmacy instead of a closer pharmacy because I find the staff are so nice and know me by name thank you for your kindness and for collection my scripts from ystrad drs when I know you go out of your way to accommodate me thank s to all staff also for stay in open through this virus goin around x

Bargoed Pharmacy could teach a lot of companies how customer service works. They are the best! nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Cannot recommend this chemist enough. Should be 10 stars.... seriously.

Since The New Owners Have Taken Over what a difference in service, Everyone there from Brett the Pharmacist to The Ladies working there are so friendly and helpful, you couldnt ask for a better service.
