We are absolutely over the moon to have won 'Best Destination Pub' in Warwickshire in the Muddy Stilettos Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted for us! With stunning views and fantastic outdoor gardens, we have plenty of memorable space for great fun outdoors. Our newly refurbished Terrace is fully covered and the inside of our new marquee which has equally great views straight down the Hatton Locks is fully decked out and proper cosy!

Both are heated and we have plenty of rugs if it gets a bit chilly. So, it's alfresco dining with a difference. And there are also plenty of alfresco tables for those who just want to pop in for a pint. With an ever changing menu and seasonal specials, our team are on hand to advise and discuss menu options and special dietary requirements.

Booked a table on Sunday for a group of friends (9).
Arrived and were told that as we'd not pre-ordered the Sunday roast that there'd be a long wait. Okay fine. But, its Sunday, we're British, obviously we wanted a roast.
Service was fine if similarly slow, they got confused on a drinks order and lost some drinks and then we found that the bill was wrong. They charge a standard 10% service charge. Again, fine, but I'd rather have the option to tip than it being added.
Food was a 6/10, I'd go there if I was nearby but I wouldn't make the trip just to eat there, there's other better

A lovely, clean and friendly place. We ordered our Xmas meal in advance but received a phone call on our way to restaurant to inform us that they could not provide what we wanted because the delivery did not arrive on time. At first disappointed but the main menu was varied and food was lovely. Service was fast. There is also a section where you can take dogs. Well worth a visit.

When you will visit The Hatton Locks it is a place where you should have a meal. Very popular place due to its reputation. Advance table booking is recommended.

We visited the Hatton Arms for a long overdue family catch up dinner. There were nine of us in total including two children under five. They seated us in a lovely section near the baby change/toilet which was extremely handy.
The food was fantastic, we went for Sunday roast and pre-booked the starter and many course. As our two children don't eat much we ordered the sharing roast platter between us with some additional sides, and a starter, and dessert. The food was very tasty and ample enough for us.
The children also enjoyed running around in the garden in between courses to burn off some steam

Well what a lovely experience! I went with a local so always a bonus but, a walk along the Grand Union canal, up Hatton Flight locks, through a green tunnel, across a field and up to this fantastic pub!!! And this view across Warwick from the terrace. Two pints of Tiny Rebel Club Tropica and a bag of crisps. Perfection. Really lovely inside the pub too, with engaging bar person and seemingly happy staff.

Great menu and beer selection. Very scenic location close to Hatton Locks on The Grand Union Canal. Clothes Outlet Children's Zoo (Goats, etcc) and Farmers Market all a couple of minutes walk away. Close to Stratford on Avon and Warwick.

Nice selection of beers on draught including Peroni and Tiny Rebel's Club Tropicana.
Prices here are at the higher end but not extortionate. I went for the chicken Milanese which was perfectly Moist and crunchy on the outside, packed with flavour! The only downside was the slightly udnerdone skinny fries. I also sampled some of the mussels - cooked well but unfortunately the sauce was lacking in flavour.
Service was good though with attentive and professional staff. I will be returning as I love the location of this place which is great for canal walks and beers in the sun in their huge beer

I booked ahead online so that we got a table inside just incase the rain came and it was very easy to do and we got reminded via email.
The place itself is very nice with lots of character and charm.
The staff were very attentive and friendly, we really felt like there was nothing that was too much trouble.
The meal itself was very tasty and well presented, we watched the tables being sanitized after the other dinners left and it all felt very safe so we would recommend this place any day of the week.
If you've never been your missing out on a very good dining experience.

What a fantastic pub! Absolutely incredible food, good beers and ales, good service, modern but cosy decor, and reasonable pricing. The puddings are perhaps a bit pricey for what they are, but the mains are well priced for their quality. I'd really recommend giving this place a go.

Not far from home, this is a consistently great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. It's medium priced and the atmosphere is nice. You can see the kitchens from the reception area and it looks very clean and well organised. There is a fab garden to sit in on a sunny day and it overlooks the canal.

Great restaurant !

I had the rib eye, which was absolutely beautiful !

the place has a great atmosphere, even though it was fully booked we were still able to get great fast service and be able to talk to each other.

I can't wait to go back here during summer to experience the outdoor area

Highly Recommend

Five stars to this lush place. Arrived here on a Sunday afternoon for a friends birthday celebration where we had a table booked in the restaurant. We arrived early and as the sun was shining we decided to have a few pre lunch drinks out on the decking. A great opportunity to soak up the October sunshine :)

A waiter came out to tell us our table was ready but didn't rush us at all. We were seated at a table at the back of the restaurant, which meant we had a good view of the restaurant.

Our Irish waiter looked after us brilliantly ensuring we had everything we needed and offering us more

The Waterman is a lovely little gastro pub situated on the outskirts of Warwick on the banks of the Grand Canal. The pub has a British menu and specialises in locally sourced food. The menu was interesting and varied, I went for the slow cooked pork belly followed by the lemon tart, very tasty! The pub is also beautifully decorated with big open fires and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a pleasant waterside pub next to the big flight of locks at Hatton. It has a vast car park, and plenty of outside seating to enjoy the views of the canal and watch the boats going to and fro.

Immaculately clean, the pub has a menu of posh pub grub, with some nice-looking salads on the menu. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we visited.

Our drinks were reasonably priced, and this is clearly a place where you can loiter with a paper watching the world go by.

I stopped here today on my way to a meeting. My husband (and, in this case, chauffeur) and I had a pint of Arkrights each, and I had vegetable soup, and hubby had a salad.

The food was good (though the salad husband got was a bit on the small side - when they said starter portion, they really meant it).

The pub wasn't busy, but the atmosphere is good - wood floors, old style decor, comfortable chairs along with some stools and pews - and some odd pews that are also stools.

The chap behind the bar was very friendly, even noting that we were on a time limit and moving accordingly. The

This has recently been transformed from a bog standard out of town pub to a more upmarket out of town eatery. There is a big carpark outside the pub but beware Wednesday is biker night and it gets very packed with motorbikes.

There is an average menu that tries to include 'posh nosh' but the prices are very high for the area and the food does not live up to expectations. They try to compete with other local upmarket pubs but do not provide the same standard of food.

The staff are excellent and the pub is clean and newly decorated. Toilets are good.

They have a beer garden round
