Macknade is at the forefront of the UK food scene and has been for over 170 years. Our mission is simple - to create spaces & experiences for people & communities to come together over a shared love of food & drink. Macknade has been in the same family for six generations. Fredrick Neame Snr, was the first to bring the family to Faversham, Kent, in 1847, where they farmed the land for the first five generations.
During this time, Macknade Farm was one of the region's leading growers, nationally renowned for its hard fruit, hops and livestock. In 1947 pears from the Macknade orchards were served at the wedding of Princess Elizabeth to Phillip Mountbatten. By the 1970's, the world was changing, and with pressure from international exports, there was a need to diversify.

£14 for a burger, £2 extra for cheese and bacon and there are not even fries or a garnish to accompany the dish. Literally a burger on a dinner plate with nothing else. You can order a tiny pot of Luke warm fries for £3 meaning you’re in for £19 for an average burger and a XS pot of fries. The prices are extortionate and the waiting times are… awful. Around 15 minutes at the table before our drinks order was taken and around another 30 minute delay on food.
The food is ok, nothing outstanding but the prices are horrendously high and the portion sizes are pretty

What a fabulous place. Everything has been well thought out. Package recycling and wonky fruit are brilliant. The range and variety of food, fruit and vegetables is amazing. We also had a Ploughman’s Baguette with Sticky Pickle served by Amanda, a very cheerful and helpful lady. I wish we lived closer, I’d be here all the time.

Honestly, I love Macknade Food Hall. Recently moved to Kent and found this near Faversham. It has been one of my essential go-to places and I have become a regular. Everyone is very friendly, great customer service and the selection is always great. It rivals any gourmet shop in London (if not better).

This has to be one of the best farm shops I have ever been to. They pretty much sell every thing, food from all over the world, Lucky Charm's, Steak Sauce, Vegimite, local wines, local beers, a wonderful selection of cheese and cured meats, fresh bread daily, local fruit & veg and when your done shopping, head to the cafe, nice coffee and good for a spot of lunch. Once you have shopped here you won't want to shop anywhere else. Next door is a fish monger and a wine merchants which are also worth a visit.

This is a real foodie heaven.
Quite a large place now with a great selection of fruit and vegetables, including unusual things you won't see in the supermarket. It also has a good selection of breads and cheeses.
A good place to visit before Christmas as it's full of gift ideas for those who love their food and drink.
