Derek Hawkins Carpentry is a well-established company, based in Southampton since 1988. We are a Father and Son business offering a professional, friendly and reliable service from two fully qualified (City & Guild) carpenters. We cover all aspects of joinery, carpentry and cabinet making, including fitted furniture, door frames and doors, conservatories and windows.
I have been self-employed for over 25 years after completing a 4 year apprenticeship at Vosper Thorny Croft and obtaining City & Guilds in Carpentry and Joinery, having worked and lived in and around Southampton for the whole of my career. I pride myself in delivering and realising my customers' wants and needs in and around their homes.

Services
Our work includes bespoke carpentry, decking, pergolas, carports, refurbishment projects, building work, replacement and/or refurbishment of staircases, and fitting kitchens including perfect worktop joints. We can also undertake insurance work. We are experts in staircase refurbishment and replacement, with extensive experience in this specialist area.
