Welcome to uBook, Rainbow City Taxis' free booking app which will revolutionise how you book and track your taxi. Why not use your smart phone to book a Taxi/Private Hire vehicle with Aberdeen's largest and most reliable taxi company Rainbow City Taxis. No need to call, simply download uBook app, create your profile, tap the details of your pick up location etc and your booking is confirmed.
As Aberdeen's largest local taxi fleet, we offer a wide variety of vehicles throughout the year 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 5,6,7 Seat vehicles - any journey accommodating more than 4 passengers is charged at fare and a half (if these vehicles are unavailable two four seat taxis will be offered and if accepted will be charged per vehicle).
The Rainbow City Taxis driver training school is devised to give a comprehensive knowledge of streets, places of interest and routes within the City of Aberdeen which will prepare candidates for the City of Aberdeen Taxi Street Knowledge Test. Any revision work after the initial 17 week period is free of charge until the candidate has passed the Aberdeen City Street Knowledge Test, revision classes are two evenings per week.
Rainbow City Taxis is headquartered at Craigshaw Road, West Tullos Industrial Estate, Aberdeen. Rainbow City Taxis local call centre handles over 1.75 million calls per year and services 1.5 million taxi journeys. We employ over 30 experienced and skilled Call Centre staff. The Call Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the whole year round.
To enhance the service provided to our customers a continual large investment in the most modern of technology never ends. All calls are recorded and monitored for the security of our customers, staff and for training purposes. Text back is an SMS message sent to your mobile phone containing your taxi/ private hire vehicle make model, colour and registration number.

It was very comfortable nice trip. Very good and friendly conversation with the driver. The driver arrived 5 minutes before, we reached our destination on time without rush.
The car was clean, no any unpleasant or smoking smell.

The call center stuff was very efficient and clear, picked up the cook quickly, so I didn’t have to wait in the line.

Fantastic service by a long, established taxi company. I have had the pleasure of being a customer of Rainbow City Taxis for many years. My journey home tonight was excellent. It was my first experience as a passenger in a Tesla car...the driver was very professional and a very friendly lady who took the time to talk to me. The car was beautiful, clean and comfortable...100% service, thank you very much.

After a very long journey from the south and missing my connecting train the driver not only got me home safely but reassured me regularly. The roads were not the best but he drove carefully and even stopped to check on 2 drivers who were stuck. He then made sure I got in my home safely. Excellent service, great driving and very considerate driver.

Myself and my children have been stranded in Aberdeen this week . Rainbow taxis have been amazing .
I have felt safe going here and there with them , drivers all really nice . And the switchboard staff understanding when we say we have no idea where we are . Thank you for making this nightmare trip easier for us

Terrible customer service. I’ve been using rainbow 3 times a week to pick up my fathers prescription and then taken back home. The driver rudely said I better leave money in the car cos I might do a runner! I had already told the dispatcher I was paying by card. The driver then said that I ‘should always have cash on me’. The is the first time in 5 weeks a driver has asked me to leave money in the car. I mean where was I going to go? it was an enclosed shopping centre in bridge of don! Also he picked me from my house so he knew where I lived. I suffer from major anxiety and found the whole

Critical: Punctuality
Two bad experiences, both times 15-20min late. The second time I had to catch a flight and the girl on the phone told me that it's up to me if i still want the taxi or not after being 10mim late already. At least the drivers are very nice and polite. They need to do something with the time management.

Positive: Professionalism
Took the booking. Turned up on time. Took us to requested drop off. Offered to take card or cash - whichever suited us. No attitude when we didn't have cash to add tip. Totally professional. Thumbs up Rainbow. Will call them first next time (first company tried wasn't taking bookings)!
