After working for Goodyear Tyre GB and Avon Tyres Ken Clarke, with the help of his wife Jean, opened the Motorist Shop in Horbury in the late 60's. In the early 70's the business, along with a good size customer base relocated to Ossett. The shop thrived and began to diversify into new areas of the motoring trade - the significant one being tyres - especially the Radial tyre, which had just been introduced to the industry.
Here at Ossett Tyre House we believe in taking the stress and strain out of motoring and have adapted our services in order make life as easy as possible for you. In addition to our state-of-the-art depot in Ossett we have invested significant sums in our mobile tyre support team.

Fast and efficient service, called after getting a puncture on the motorway. They were very helpful, give them the tyre details and they said that they would have to collect a tyre before being able to attend. Gave me a time that they would arrive and they were there on time. Quickly changed the tyre and got me on the road again.
