Services
To register with the practice please call at reception with completed medical card. You will be given a medical questionnaire to fill out at the desk and an appointment will be sent to you to attend a 'new patient check'. You will be given a copy of our Practice Leaflet. While registration is with the practice you may express a preference to receive services from a particular GP.
Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
