Here at The Andrews Dance Centre we believe that dance classes should be fun and enjoyable and we aim to inspire our pupils with enthusiastic teachers, innovative routines and well organised structured classes. We care about each and every pupil and encourage them to achieve their dreams. We enter our pupils for examinations with The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and The National Association of Teachers of Dancing.
Pupils also have the opportunity to participate in shows and workshops. The Andrews Dance Centre was founded in 1954 by Audrie Andrews and the first classes were held in Stevenage but then extended to offer classes in Hitchin, Baldock and Biggleswade. Audrie's daughter Joy Andrews became the principal in 1987 and further extended the school making it a top school in the area for all round training.

We offer Disco Freestyle classes to children from the age of three. Our Disco Classes are lively, exciting and most importantly lots of fun. We dance to the latest chart music with routines enabling children to clap, jump, turn, wiggle and much more. As a child progresses in the class they have the opportunity to learn about all the different styles of Disco Freestyle.
In our Ballet Classes, children will have the opportunity to develop strength and co-ordination through carefully choreographed exercises suitable for pupils from the age of three. We follow the syllabus from The National Association of Teachers of Dancing. Ballet classes have a similar structure each week which enables children to feel comfortable and familiar in the class.
Our Tap classes are designed for children from the age of three. We follow the syllabus from The National Association of Teachers of Dancing. The classes are specifically structured to teach all the fundamental movements of Tap from a young age. This enables our pupils to become technically strong dancers as they progress through the school.
Hip Hop is fast becoming one of the most popular dance styles and with the influences of pop artists and well known dance crews this is the style many young children want to participate in. These classes are fast paced and energetic and offer pupils the opportunity to learn in a fun environment with the latest chart music and also to develop huge self confidence with the chance to freestyle at the end of each class.
