Services
We are really looking forward to welcome our guests to Tregortha Guesthouse.
Both of us have spent most of our lives in and around hotels and working in customer-focused jobs including several years' experience on cruise ships with Princess Cruises, a decade in a beautiful, family owned five star hotel, The Goring in London (the only hotel to have been awarded a Royal Warrant for hospitality services in 2013), managing events and conferences and last but not least financial auditing of different hotel brands.

In 2021 we will only serve Take away breakfast or Continental Room service breakfast. Both can be consumed in the bedroom or in the breakfast room as well at the time agreed previously. The Cowal Way in Argyll is known as 'Scotland in 57 miles'. The Cowal Way ranks as one of Scotland's most scenic long distance routes. It begins at Portavadie in the southwest, where the ferry runs from Tarbert in Kintyre, passes trough Tighnabruaich and the way to end at Inveruglas on the shores of Loch Lomond.
Tighnabruaich is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Glasgow Airport. Ten minutes drive / 30 minutes cycle to Portavadie for ferry to Tarbert (Loch Fyne) hence to Kennacraig or Tayinloan for onward travel on ferries to Islay or Gigha. We are very well placed for cyclists on the " 5 ferries round trip" and for walkers on the "Cowal Way" which is Scotland's most diverse and ever-changing long distance foot path.

Delightful couple who did their best to assist us and make us comfortable. Modern and spacious rooms. Superb views. Delightful breakfast choices, with local produce used as accessible in season. Stair access to rooms at the present. The husband has his own artworks hanging on the walls, creating talking points. Quiet position with views over the town to the water and hills and mountains beyond.
