An ideas trip to the north of Scotland laid the foundations for the business that has a distinctly Scottish flavour. Baxter's offer quality Scottish gifts such as Caithness Glass, Sterling Silver and Pewter Quaichs; these were some of the original lines stocked and after 33 years are still popular today.

Caithness Glass paperweights including Flower of Scotland, Luckenbooth, Hot! Hot! Hot! and Wedding Day are the perfect choice for Weddings, Anniversaries, Valentine's Day etc. Caithness Glass, established in Wick in the far north of Scotland in 1961 by the late Robin Sinclair, looked to the beautiful Scottish landscape with its warm peaty tones, purple heather, golden sunsets and the grey blue of the lochs for colour inspiration.
The history of Saltcoats, Ayrshire, is held within the colours of it's tartan; the blue of the sea, the biege of the sand, the black of the coal, the white of the salt and red for the sun combined with a deep and rich purple, the traditional colour of Scotland. Saltcoats tartan was first worn by the Queen of the Sea at the annual Queen of the Sea Festival held in the middle of July.
